The Colony – Blast & Tour (Need done)

Thursday, January 31st, 2013
Here’s a little more about the book.
Brinlee Trapper escapes to a secluded mountain home to protect her young sons from the mistakes of her past. But there are dangers lurking in the mountains she has never encountered. A mysterious hunter, Jed, saves them. Brinlee is drawn to him, but she worries about his involvement with a peaceful commune hidden deep in the mountains behind her property.
Lance, Brinlee’s attentive neighbor, has his own troubled history. Between his obvious attraction to Brinlee and his developing love for her children, Brinlee finds it more than difficult to guard her heart against this tender intrusion.
While Jed offers a life of excitement and freedom, Lance holds the key to the family Brinlee always wanted. When it comes time to choose, she learns that both men have secrets that could shatter her fledgling trust in men and the wrong decision could leave more than her heart exposed to danger.

The Romance Madness Hop has started

Amy Freeman a romance author’s interview

Amy is so good to have you for a visit this week. How long have you been writing?

All my life. I wrote a complete screen play at age ten. That’s right…me and Steven Spielberg. My first full length book came about at age thirteen, then two more at age twenty and two more over the last four years. Writing is an escape for me. I have done it always.

Where were you born?

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Where do you live now? (more…)

Amy Freeman a romance author’s interview

Thursday, January 24th, 2013

Amy is so good to have you for a visit this week. How long have you been writing?

All my life. I wrote a complete screen play at age ten. That’s right…me and Steven Spielberg. My first full length book came about at age thirteen, then two more at age twenty and two more over the last four years. Writing is an escape for me. I have done it always.

Where were you born?

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Where do you live now?

In my adult life I have lived in Wisconsin, Nevada and we recently moved back to Salt Lake from a seven year adventure in Florida.

Florida! wow that is quite different from Utah. What is the name of your new book?

The title of my new book is “SHINE, The Knowing Ones” due to come out this spring.

How intriguing, tell us more about it.

SHINE is a Paranormal Romance centered on Manpupuner, a natural wonder in the Ural Mountains of Russia…home to the Veduny tribe:

Do you have a back cover blurb?

Sam Shields is terrified by a sinister vision that plagues her daily since moving away to college. Though psychic abilities come naturally to her, this vision of giant stone monoliths soaked in blood is a far cry from what she is used to. As her life unfolds at the university, pursuing a dance degree, she meets famed Olympic swimmer, Trin Kosolov, gorgeous, humble, kind…and also a powerful psychic with gifts that far exceed her own. As Sam grows closer to Trin her visions grow darker and her own abilities intensify. Meeting Trin was no coincidence. The powerful love connection between them has deep roots as well and Sam is about to learn that her psychic abilities link her to a terrifying reality that only Trin can protect her from…and he may no longer be enough.

Is there a book trailer for your book?

No trailer yet.

Let us know when you do. Do you have a favorite character, why?

Trin. He exemplifies characteristics and values that make the world a better place. He understands and loves people on a level we don’t often see, and his goal is to teach this to others. It doesn’t hurt that he’s gloriously handsome.

What kind of impact do you expect your works to have in the reader’s lives?

From the beginning of this project my hope has been that readers will come away with a heightened view of themselves and others. That we will realize our potential as Divine spirit beings and find a more peaceful way to co-exist. High expectations…I should wear a crown, wave and cry “World Peace!” In the end I hope to tell a captivating story.

Do you have any advice for authors trying to break into the industry?

Get involved in the writing community. Nothing is more important (in my humble opinion.) You simply cannot know if you are connecting to readers and accomplishing your goals without sharing your work with others to gain perspective. This also creates valuable connections and priceless relationships. Writers are some of the coolest people alive.

Tell us about your new years goals?

To get this book out. After years of work I am so excited to share it. I am finishing up the sequel and polishing another unrelated work as well. Also on the list, is to attend at least one writing conference and enter at least one writing contest. Even if you don’t win you usually get feedback which is just as valuable.

Where can we find your book?

You can find my book on Amazon.com and other locations this spring. Check my blog for updates. http://vedunywriter.blogspot.com

This has been so fun. Thank you, Anna for having me.

You are more than welcome, Amy. Have an awesome writing New Year.
