Two
Sharpe Publishing was created as a company to publish some books that
my daughter and I wrote together.  This was not something Amanda
nor I had ever even dreamed of, but then life has a way of sending
you down the path that it wants… regardless of where you were
planning on going.
On
September 16, 2015, Amanda’s husband Kevin was on his way home from
work late one night and was waiting for traffic to clear in the left
turn lane about a mile from their home.  A drunk driver coming
from behind Kevin, at what was estimated 75 mph in a 45 mph zone,
veered out of the travel lanes and struck Kevin in the rear of his
Dodge Neon with a full-size SUV.  Kevin was killed instantly in
the crash.
Several
months after Kevin’s death, Amanda wrote an autobiography of her
life with Kevin called
Stolen and
she asked me if I would help edit the book.  Once we put the
finishing touches on Stolen, we decided we would cowrite a fictional
series called The Charly Stevens series.
People
deal with the loss of a loved one in many different ways. After
starting the Charly Stevens Series, we came up with another fictional
series called Road Rage The Blog. It is a real time blog written by
Simon, a man who has a great deal of rage, especially when he gets in
a car.
Once
we had an idea for the above projects, we needed a Social Engineer to
handle publishing, website development, cover art, and social media
for our company.  We were lucky enough to convince Kris Spoon to
join our team.  Kris has a wide range of experience in the world
of publishing and social media and has used those unique skills to
create a platform for not only the works we have created to date, but
for those to come.  We hope in the future to be able to help
other authors bring their works to life through our company.

you for reading about Two Sharpe Publishing!

Genre:

One

Three Dead.

Five Knives.

FIVE

Reviewer

When
a man plummets to his death from an apartment tower, Will Finch’s
shock soon becomes a nightmare. As he studies the open windows above
the corpse, Finch notices a lamp blinking erratically behind a drawn
curtain on the eleventh floor.

When
he investigates the distress signal, Finch discovers a woman
handcuffed to a bedpost. Over the following week, he uncovers a
conspiracy that ties the murder to a series of bombshells. The
victim’s bankruptcy. A global stock fraud. A murder spree that
began in Baghdad and is now haunting the citizens of San Francisco.
Is this the work of a serial killer, a copycat — or both?

But
before he can file his report for The San Francisco Post, Finch’s
leads evaporate. Within days, three victims are dead. Does a pattern
of five knife wounds provide a clue? Can he unravel the mystery
before he — and his fiancée — are caught up in the web of
murder?

Five
Knives is the prequel thriller in the Will Finch crime series — a
novel that opens on the first day of Will Finch’s journalism
career. Everything that Finch learns about crime reporting begins
with Five Knives.

Can one woman evade an alien empire to save her son’s life?

Friday, July 13th, 2018

Lauren H Salisbury was an English teacher for sixteen years with an MA in Education. She is now a writer who dabbles with tutoring and lives with her husband and a room full of books in Yorkshire, England.

She likes to spend winters abroad, following the sunshine and becoming the seasonal envy of her friends. When she’s not writing, she can be found spending time with family, reading, walking, crafting, or cooking. Courage is her debut novel.

Can one woman evade an alien empire to save her son’s life?
Gilla and Elias have the perfect life—or as perfect as life can be for slaves living deep in the Esarelian Empire. Elias wants freedom for his precious wife and daughter, and the rest of their people, and he is willing to fight to get it. Pregnant with her second child, Gilla only wants a happy, healthy family who share a strong faith in the God of Old Earth and to get through her workload each day.

When the Esarelians decide to teach their rebellious slaves a lesson they will never forget, Gilla’s entire life is turned upside down. She must trust that God has a plan to protect her new-born son, and have the courage to follow it, choosing the strangest of allies in an effort to ensure his survival.

Courage is a science fiction retelling of the Biblical story of Moses’s birth. It has strong, quirky characters, strange alien worlds, and a gripping plot with a twist on the original.

The next book in this Series is available in September! Find out more about that book HERE!

Fear consumed her, tearing her heart from her chest with its force, but she looked at her son and forged on. Breathing heavily through the terror, she kept putting one foot in front of the other for his sake.

Years of intense heavy labour and his need to protect his family fuelled his rage and tightened his aim. It would have worked if he’d been fighting humans.

A world of twisted secrets, insanity, and evil that refuses to die…

CUSP OF NIGHT
Hode’s Hill
#1

by
Mae Clair
Genre: Thriller/Suspense

Pub
Date:
6/12/2018

The truth hides in dark places…
Recently settled in Hode’s Hill,
Pennsylvania, Maya Sinclair is enthralled by the town’s folklore,
especially the legend about a centuries-old monster. A devil-like
creature with uncanny abilities responsible for several horrific
murders, the Fiend has evolved into the stuff of urban myth. But the
past lives again when Maya witnesses an assault during the annual
“Fiend Fest.” The victim is developer Leland Hode, patriarch of
the town’s most powerful family, and he was attacked by someone
dressed like the Fiend.
Compelled to discover who is behind the
attack and why, Maya uncovers a shortlist of enemies of the Hode
clan. The mystery deepens when she finds the journal of a late
nineteenth-century spiritualist who once lived in Maya’s house—a
woman whose ghost may still linger. Known as the Blue Lady of Hode’s
Hill due to a genetic condition, Lucinda Glass vanished without a
trace and was believed to be one of the Fiend’s tragic victims. The
disappearance of a young couple, combined with more sightings of the
monster, trigger Maya to join forces with Leland’s son Collin. But
the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she comes to a hidden
world of twisted secrets, insanity, and evil that refuses to die…
Mae Clair opened a Pandora’s
Box of characters when she was a child and never looked back. Her
father, an artist who tinkered with writing, encouraged her to create
make-believe worlds by spinning tales of far-off places on summer
nights beneath the stars.
Mae loves creating character-driven
fiction in settings that vary from contemporary to mythical. Wherever
her pen takes her, she flavors her stories with conflict, romance and
elements of mystery. Married to her high school sweetheart, she lives
in Pennsylvania and is passionate about writing, old photographs, a
good Maine lobster tail and cats.

Dancing Lemur Press present…Tic Tock: A Stich in Crime

Tuesday, May 1st, 2018

Here is a trailer for the anthology:

My publicist friend Krista and I made a book trailer for Tick Tock. Here’s the link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnYfD2zPRP0

How did you come up with the idea for an anthology?

The Insecure Writer’s Support Group admins took a poll and then made a final decision on the genre based on the results and what Dancing Lemur Press accepts.

How did you find all the authors for it?

The contest was open to all IWSG members – bloggers, Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads members. The finalists were decided by a panel of judges consisting of agents and authors.

What is the name of this anthology?

Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime.

The previous anthologies were Parallels: Felix Was Here (science fiction) and Hero Lost: The Mysteries of Death and Life (fantasy).

How many authors are in the anthology?

Eleven made the cut.

What genre is this anthology??

Mystery/Crime?Thriller

Do these authors only write mystery/crime/thriller?

For most of them, it is their preferred genre. But for several authors, this is their first time venturing into this area, which is exciting.

Where will you promote this book?

Reviewers, pre-publication reviewers & magazines, bookstores, libraries, signings, and online – blogs, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and through a blog tour.

Fate is dangling before you the promise of a world that, before then, was totally out of your reach

Evy Journey, writer, wannabe artist, and flâneuse (feminine of flâneur), wishes she lives in Paris where people have perfected the art of aimless roaming. Armed with a Ph.D., she used to research and help develop mental health programs.

She’s a writer because beautiful prose seduces her and existential angst continues to plague her despite such preoccupations having gone out of fashion. She takes occasional refuge by invoking the spirit of Jane Austen to spin tales of love, loss, and finding one’s way-stories into which she weaves mystery or intrigue.

Snippet:

Prologue:

I’m alive. I’m dead. I’m in-between. In that limbo where my vital signs hover just above death. I rise above my body and look down on it, lying on a gurney. Hospital staff are rushing me along the brightly-lit hallway to the operating room. One of them holds an oxygen mask on my face. Another, a bag of intravenous fluid connected to my veins by a tube.

I’m not ready to die yet. These good people anxious to rescue me don’t know that my resolve is the only thing that is keeping me alive. No, I’m not ready to die-I’ve only just begun to live. I have yet to prove to myself, to the world, that I have what it takes to prevail.

My family-now on their way to the hospital-doesn’t know yet exactly what happened to me. And except for one detective, neither do the police. I see him now by the foot of the gurney, keeping pace with the nurses. He’s scowling, his lips pressed into a grim line.

A tall, taut, and solitary man, he has deep-set gray eyes clouded by too many images of violent death and a lower lip that hangs perpetually open in disgust or despair. So much darkness he has already seen in his thirty odd years in this world. He needs to piece together the facts that constitute the attempt on my life, events that may have led to it, and various fragments of my past to understand what brought me to this point.
The first time I met him, I fell in love with him. There was something primal about him, some paternal, animalistic instinct to save hurt or fallen victims. Like me, maybe. It gave him power and it made him irresistible to me.

But fate is fickle. It teases. It entices. One day, something quite ordinary happens to you. Yet, you sense that that ordinary something can change your life. Not necessarily for something better, but for something new. Fate is dangling before you the promise of a world that, before then, was totally out of your reach. How can you not seize it?
Now, of course, I see the end of that promise. And it’s not where I want to be.
It’s tragic, don’t you think, that the end of that promise should be right here on a gurney, with me fighting for my life? It certainly is not what I hoped for.
How could it end this way? I embraced life, took chances, but half-dead on this gurney, I wonder: Am I paying with my life? But, like I said. I’m not ready to die yet

Does survival even matter when you’re already broken beyond repair?

Wednesday, November 15th, 2017

My love of storytelling traces
back to my step-mother, who spun wonderful fantasy stories when I was child. I
finished my first novel at sixteen. That first attempt was terrible, but taught
me quite a bit about story construction. Though I would start numerous other
projects in the following years, I wouldn’t actually complete another book for
another 21 years.

I wasn’t idle in that time, though. I earned a degree in engineering, married the love of my life, worked as a semi- truck driver crisscrossing the country, moved from Texas to North Dakota and then came back home.
It’s been a fun and interesting journey. I really enjoy engineering, but writing was my first passion, and I’m excited to share it with you.
I currently live in West Texas with my wife and our two adorable (but weird) cats.

“No one knows how human genetics evolved to create Mirrors. No one knows how the evidence of a criminal’s last horrendous act can be confirmed in a single gaze of a child’s silvered eyes. But just because science can’t explain something doesn’t mean it
can’t be used, and this gift is simply too valuable to ignore.
Twins Thomas and Ashley Ross have grown up knowing they would
be used as Mirrors for the “good” of humanity. When their powers mature at age
twelve, they are taken weekly to fulfill their role. By reliving the most heinous crimes from a perpetrators’ perspective, they alone can assure that no innocent people will be executed, and that the worst offenders are not set free due to lack of
evidence.
Justice is not without cost, however. Taking on the memories of others is a destructive process, one that quickly consumes the children involved until most take their own lives. As despair threatens to drown Thomas and Ashley, a distant hope keeps them from succumbing: If they can make it to their eighteenth birthday, their contract with the government will be fulfilled. Changing views on the morality of their role threatens to tear them apart, but the twins struggle to cling to each other and try to construct a fragile life above the weekly flood of horrors.

As their work takes it toll, however, a new question emerges: does survival even matter when you’re already broken beyond repair?”

Snippet:
The West Texas night wind whispered and whistled around the window
frames. I was in my mom’s favorite chair reading The Tell-Tale Heart when I heard the stuttering drone of a small
plane. In our rural setting, it sounded very low and very loud.
Then the noise stopped.

Lady, the German shepherd I’d found lying mangled and near death
beside the road, was standing in front of the picture-window, head cocked to
one side.
The silence was thick and cold.

As we watched, the tail of a small plane disappeared behind the
line of firs west of the house. There was still no sound but the wind.

I dialed the operator and told her what I’d seen. She immediately
patched me through to the Sheriff’s office so I could tell the dispatcher what
had happened. Then I ran outside to see what I could see. Lady was right behind
me.

Snippet:
Shadows darkened the path. Branches hovered above him, some with
lingering leaves, others bare.
“Taking a stroll, Matthews?” Lacy’s voice cut through the quiet.
He turned to see her walking toward him, her hands in the pockets
of her black jacket.
“Trying to clear my head.”
“And this is where you chose?” she asked as she came to stand next
to him.
“I have more good memories here than bad ones.”
A smile formed on her lips, though it didn’t match her eyes, which
were dark and tired. “I assume when you grew up here, there weren’t as many
people on this path running.”
He shook his head. “Lot more trees, less traffic. It was
secluded.”
Reaching her hand out to him, she touched his arm. “I remember.”
Declan slid a glance to her hand. “What a time, huh?”
She moved her hand down until it gripped his. “You might not
believe it, but I think of it fondly. It was hard to settle in here, to move on
from what happened to my family. You helped me settle, Matthews.”

He felt that unraveling feeling move over him again, with her hand
holding his. Perhaps that’s what caused him to pull her to him, embracing her
tightly as he warded off the rush of pain that attacked him.

He chooses to protect a young witness, leaving him a burning spirit in the darkness

A
Burning In the Darkness
by
A P McGrath
Genre:
Mystery Thriller, Crime, Romance

A murder at one of the world’s busiest airports opens this simmering
crime story where a good man’s loyalty is tested to its limits.
Michael Kieh is a full time faith representative serving the needs of
some of the 80 million passengers, but circumstance and evidence
point to his guilt. His struggle to prove his innocence leads him on
a charged journey that pitches love against revenge.

Michael’s
loneliness was eased by a series of brief encounters with a soul
mate. When she confides a dark secret, he is motivated to redress a
heart-breaking injustice. Together they must battle against powerful
forces as they edge dangerously close to unmasking a past crime. But
Michael faces defeat when he chooses to protect a young witness,
leaving him a burning spirit in the darkness.

Michael’s
commitment to helping those in need was forged in the brutality of
the Liberian civil war. Protected by a kind guardian, he too was a
young witness to an atrocity that has left a haunting legacy of
stolen justice and a lingering need for revenge. More poignantly
there is a first love cruelly left behind in Africa because of the
impossible choices of war. When Michael and his former lover find
each other once again they become formidable allies in proving his
innocence and rediscovering their lost love.

The
writing is such that the reader is gripped immediately, and swept

The fate of a kingdom rests on the shoulders of three young wizards

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

Mike Shelton, how long have you been writing?

I have been writing since I was in the third grade.  My first series, The Cremelino Prophecy was actually written and re-written many times over about a 20 year period.  I got really serious about two years ago and started going through the editing process and getting my first books out in 2016.

Tell us where you were born and where do you live now.

I was born in California.  I now live in North Carolina, but are looking to move back to the Portland Oregon area where we used to live and where most of our family lives.

How do you know the idea is good enough to write a book about it?

I write about things that I would like to read.  I have always read a lot.  so if I like the idea and would read it, I figure others might want to also.

Who has made the greatest difference for you as a writer?

Going through he editing process has been very hard for me.  I think (or at least hope) that I am getting better each time I write a book – however I would much rather be writing than editing or promotion!

What is the name of your book?

I currently have 6 books out that cover two different series as well as two prequel novellas (one for each series).  I would recommend starting with the first book in my latest series, THE DRAGON ORB.

Tell us more about it. Perhaps a backcover blurb.

The fate of a kingdom rests on the shoulders of three young wizards who couldn’t be more different.

Bakari is a brilliant scholar wizard who’s more at home in a library than a battlefield. Alli is a beautiful young battle wizard whose grace in battle is both enchanting and deadly. Roland is a counselor wizard with a seemingly limitless depth of untapped power — and the ego to match it.

As the magical barrier protecting the kingdom of Alaris from dangerous outsiders begins to fail, and a fomenting rebellion threatens to divide the country in a civil war, the three wizards are thrust into the middle of a power struggle.

When the barrier comes down, the truth comes out. Was everything they were taught about their kingdom based on a lie? Will they all choose to fight on the same side, or end up enemies in the battle over who should rule Alaris?

Do you have a favorite character, why?

I have three main characters int eh book and I like them all for different reasons.  I like my main characters to have some flaws, which each of them do, and struggle with something, but in the end I want the reader to be connected with them.

What kind of impact do you expect your works to have in the reader’s lives?

Do you have any promotions going on right now?

My two prequels, Prophecy of the Dragon and The Blade and the Bow are always free.  Besides that, the other books are all 2.99.

Here is my review: 5 out of 5*

The Dragon Orb by Mike Shelton is a splendid story for YA, pre-teen and adult alike.

I so enjoyed this well written story with magic and magic users. The erray of characters are remarkable and different sub stories well worth your time.

Roland is a young man been train to become a counselor wizard, he is also cookie and inmature though he has more power than many have seen for centuries.

Alli is a young woman being train as a War Wizard. She has to much power for one so young and immature as she is. Her and Roland’s tutors are over their head with this youth until there are force to unite forces or died.

I really like the descriptions in this book they seem so inspired and it make you feel like you are part of the scene no just looking into it. A breath of fresh air and a lot of imagination that is what you’ll find between the pages of this high fantasy tale. New concepts and new possibilities also bade the flavor of this tale. If you want to read a high fantasy that it hasn’t been used to many times yet, this is the book for you. Awesome job Shelton.

Where can we find your book?

Lucy Farago

Date: 7/25/2017

The
Investigative Collection Unit is one of the world’s most renowned
agencies, solving cases with—or without—the law on its side. And
the Unit’s men are special agents in more ways than one, with
secrets that can make or break them—and the hearts of those who
fall for them . . .
He’s known only
as Cowboy. A successful rodeo star with a string of women behind him,
the ICU has given him a chance to stay put instead of constantly
running away—from the past, from love, from the blood on his hands.
And he’s not going to screw that up, even if it means going back
home to Texas to investigate the disappearance of the woman who made
him start running in the first place . . .
The political
exposé of a popular senator should have been Grace Irvine’s story,
but she thought it would be good for her best friend Jessie’s
career. Now, Jessie is missing and Grace will do anything to find
her. But her path keeps crossing with a mysterious and charismatic
cowboy who has his own reasons for finding Jessie. And as intrigue
draws Grace and Cowboy deeper into danger, passion starts to play by
its own rules—making promises it might not be able to keep . . .

Lucy Farago knows
there is nothing like a happy sigh at the end of a good book. With
the encouragement of her loving husband, she wrote her first
manuscript. An unpublished historical, it sits in a file on her
computer, there to remind her how much fun she had learning the craft
and becoming part of an industry whose books make you believe
anything is possible. A big fan of Agatha Christie, she set out to
write her first romantic suspense novel. Thrilled to be a published
author, Lucy also teaches yoga, enjoys cooking, and saying what other
people are thinking. In her fantasy world, her beautiful Siberian
husky, Loki, doesn’t shed and her three kids clean up after
themselves . Alas, that fantasy will never see fruition.
