Are all roses red?

Thursday, May 21st, 2015

J.B. Kantt, how long have you been writing? I have been writing for four years.

Tell us where you were born and where do you live now. I was born in the United States, on the east coast. I still live on the east coast.

How do you know the idea is good enough to write a book about it? I think any idea can be good enough to write a book about, as long as the author is willing to put in the work. I also think if an author is able make a good plot out of an idea, it’s good enough.

Who has made the greatest difference for you as a writer? (more…)

Wow that is different. What makes you passionate about writing?

We are all passionate about something. Writing is no different than any other passion. Most people—myself included—take the path most traveled and work for a paycheque, but being passionate about something, it’s curiosity, stepping out of that comfort zone, pushing your limits, filling that void that you knew was there all along.

I’ve had many jobs before, and I might add that I was successful at all of them, but it is writing that lights my fire and that makes my heart beat faster. When I sit down to ponder a new story, I don’t just want to create a story; I want to travel with my characters and create worlds that I wish existed.     (more…)
