HI! Just to tell you a bit about myself. I have lived in Seattle, WA most of my life however I was raised in New York and spent summers in Cape May, NJ. Most of my work is set on the beaches and beach towns of the Jersey Shore. I wrote my first novel when I was thirteen years old and continued to write poetry and short stories for the following years. I have had articles and papers published as well as photographs that were published in a book entitled “Rock and Roll Memorabilia II”.
I hold an AA degree in Business Management. I never obtained a degree in Literary Arts or Writing per se but I feel I come by my writing talent organically as William Shakespeare is my 1st cousin 12 times removed.
“An Unexpected Gift” is my debut novel. Like Janie, the main character in the novel, I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism at the age of forty-eight however I am proud to share this diagnosis with Ralph Waldo Emerson and Emily Dickenson as well as many others. I see my autism as a gift from God. It has given me a high intellect and innate talent that I use as a tool to enlighten the rest of the world to the plight of adults with autism.
Like many people on the spectrum, I never married or had children which is sadly my greatest regret. I currently live with my wonderful sister Kendra and my three cats Tyler, Tabitha and Teddy in Spokane, WA. I am planning to move back to the New Jersey Shore as soon as possible.

Dear Prospective Bride, My name is Nicholas Walker…

Wednesday, December 18th, 2019

Through a crazy twist of fate, Caroline Clemmons was not born on a Texas ranch. To compensate for this illogical error, she writes about handsome cowboys, feisty ranch women, and scheming villains in a tiny office her family calls her pink cave. She and her Hero live in North Central Texas cowboy country where they ride herd on their dog and three rescued indoor cats as well as providing nourishment outdoors for squirrels, birds, and other critters.

The over fifty titles she has created in her pink cave have made her an Amazon bestselling author and won several awards. She writes sweet to sensual romances about the West, both historical and contemporary as well as time travel and mystery. Her series include the Kincaids, McClintocks, Stone Mountain Texas, Bride Brigade, Texas Time Travel, Texas Caprock Tales, Loving A Rancher, and Pearson Grove as well as numerous single titles and contributions to multi-author sets. When she’s not writing, she loves spending time with her family, reading her friends’ books, lunching with friends, browsing antique malls, checking Facebook, and taking the occasional nap.

Such a tiny lie…

Desperation drove her…
She couldn’t know the risk…

After the death of her grandmother, Melody Fraser must quickly leave what has been her home in South Carolina. There are those who think she murdered her Nana Fraser. She’s innocent but there’s talk about arrest and prosecution. To escape, this Southern Belle agrees to become a mail-order bride in far away Montana. Several of her friends will be living in the same town. Traveling so far to marry a man she’s never met is daunting. Surely things will work out, won’t they?

Nicholas “Nick” Walker is a doctor from Gettysburg whose wife and children were killed when mortar fire destroyed their home. Eager to escape the memories and ravages of the Civil War, he buys a medical practice in Montana Territory. He wants a competent nurse who can assist him with operations and care for patients as his plans expand for a hospital. He wants a well-organized wife to keep him company and start a family. With his usual efficiency, he combines the two into one job description when he requests a mail-order bride.
What will it take to teach Nick that—although she isn’t what he expected—Melody is exactly what he needs?

Snippet:

Inside the small building, she sat at the table. The letter writer’s penmanship was well-formed and bold. She tilted the page toward the window and read the page again.

 Dear Prospective Bride,
My name is Nicholas Walker and I’m a thirty-year-old doctor. I have dark hair, blue eyes, reach just over six feet in height, and I’ve been told I’m not bad looking. I’m in need of a wife who has nursing experience and can help me with patients as well as manage our home. The clinic is only a few steps from the house, which makes the situation convenient.

I live in a three bedroom home that is quite Spartan. I’m sure a woman’s touch would remedy that. The clinic has room for only one patient but I am in the process of adding rooms for two more as well as expanding the treatment room.
No doubt you will wonder about my habits. I never have over two beers, don’t gamble, and have no outstanding debts. My health is good. I have never struck a woman and will never strike my wife. I intend to be a firm but loving father to any children we may have.
No doubt you lost loved ones in the war. Although I won’t speak of it again, I must warn you that I lost my wife and two children when our home was destroyed by Confederates. I still miss my family every day. Because of the deep abiding love I hold for them, I can only offer fondness in our marriage. If you can accept my terms then I look forward to our union.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Walker

Melody studied the letter then re-read the page. He’d been married before and lost his wife and children. A man of his age would normally have wed. She lowered the letter and gazed out the window.
How badly did she want to escape Charleston? She wanted a husband and a family but wanted that husband’s love. On the other hand, she knew many couples lived long and happy married lives sharing only fondness.
Could she link herself to a man who admitted he would never love her?

Arabella Sheraton grew up on a diet of Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters…

Tuesday, December 17th, 2019

Arabella Sheraton grew up on a diet of Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, and many other writers of that period. From Jane Austen to Georgette Heyer, Arabella has found both enjoyment and inspiration in sparkling, witty Regency novels. She also loves history and generally finds the past more fascinating than the future. Arabella wrote her first Regency romance to entertain her aged mom who loved the genre. Arabella is honoured to share the adventures of her heroes and heroines with readers.

In this delightful traditional Regency romance, Miss Diana Dashwood accepts an invitation to Lady Prescott’s Christmas party at Camden House, in the countryside. But things do not go quite as she imagined. Through an unexpected event, she is forced to spend the night in a woodsman’s hut with one of the guests. What a scandal! Of course, Sir Gareth Blakely must propose, and he does. Unfortunately, Miss Diana Dashwood has already been engaged to and broken off her engagement from Sir Gareth Blakely after a bitter quarrel. Is it likely she will bow to social pressure and accept his proposal, one made only to save her reputation, and if they marry, does their union stand a chance of survival? And what about the pretty heiress, Miss Jemima Plymstock, whom everyone thinks is the lady Sir Gareth had his eye upon? Headstrong and proud, Miss Diana Dashwood is caught in a dreadful dilemma. A must-read for Regency fans!

Snippet:
“Well, Miss Dashwood,” he murmured, “will you rise to the challenge? Will you kiss me under the mistletoe in front of everyone? Miss Dalton managed to catch Mr. Crane easily enough and we all know why.”

He looked up; she followed his gaze and spied the cluster of dark green leaves with white berries. She had quite forgotten about the mistletoe. How infuriating and smug he was to insinuate she was so desperate to kiss him that a parlour game was her only means. How dare he compare her to that silly Drusilla Dalton? Well, she would show him and everyone else just how much he did not matter to her. She would not be humiliated by old gossip being raked up. Diana kissed the fingertips on her right hand and pressed them onto his lips.

“There,” she said, twirling around in a flourish to face the others. “A Christmas kiss for Sir Gareth and that’s as much as he deserves from me.”
Her actions made everyone burst out laughing and clapping again.

When they both return home, acquaintances, threaten to sever more than just their childhood friendship

Monday, December 16th, 2019

“Mindy loves all things history and romance, which makes reading and writing romance right up her alley. Since she was a little girl, playing in her closet “elevator,” she has always had stories running through her mind. But it wasn’t until she was well into adulthood, that she realized she could write those stories down. Now they occupy her dreams and most every quiet moment she has-she often washes her hair two or three times because she wasn’t paying attention when she did it the first time. Which usually means really clean hair and a fixed plot hole. When she isn’t living in her alternate realities, she is married to her real-life Mr. Darcy and trying to raise five proper boys. They live happily in the beautiful mountains of Utah.

Peter Blythe, Earl of Rockwell fled England when he was thrown over in favor of his father. Now after nearly ten years, he has returned to England to assume his family title. When he asks a young woman to dance at a masquerade ball, he is intrigued by her wit and charm. The only problem is she refuses to give him her name.

When Lady Caroline unexpectedly meets the man she has always loved at a masquerade ball and he does not recognize her, she is determined to keep her name a secret. What starts out as a game soon becomes much more when she realizes she still loves him, all the while knowing if he knew her true identity, he would never feel the same for her.

When they both return home to their neighboring estates for the holidays, acquaintances from years past threaten to sever more than just their childhood friendship.

Snippet:

Looking back on the incident, she could not account for what had provoked her to play such a game. It had seemed a harmless joke to keep her name from him, but now it only caused the hole she felt in her chest to enlarge.

If they gave out diplomas for what you learn at the mall, Charlotte could graduate with honors

USA Today, bestselling author, Janette Rallison/ CJ Hill writes books because writing is much more fun than cleaning bathrooms. Her avoidance of housework has led her to writing thirty novels that have sold over 1,000,000 print copies and have been on many reading and state lists. Her books are fantasy, sci-fi, and romantic comedy because hey, there is enough angst in real life, but theres a drastic shortage of humor, romance and hot guys who fight dragons. She lives in Chandler, Arizona with her husband, kids, and enough cats to classify her as eccentric.

Candy let out a sigh. “He’s cute, Char. I’m so happy for you.”
“It’s not like we’re a couple or anything,” I said quickly. “I just, you know, kind of like him, but he, um, doesn’t really know.”
“Well, we can work on letting him know at my party.”
No, no, no. This was not going at all the way I wanted it to. “Oh, I don’t want to do that,” I choked out. “I mean, I want to be low-key about the whole thing. You know, just hang out and see if anything interesting happens.” Interesting between Shelby and Bryant, that was.
“Do you need something nice to wear? I just bought some pashminas that are to die for.”
Pashminas? I was not about to admit I didn’t know what part of your body you put a pashmina on. “Thanks,” I said, “but I have plenty to wear.”
“Are you sure? You know, the right outfit could accentuate your assets while concealing your figure flaws.”
Figure flaws? I was afraid to ask what she was referring to. “I’m really okay as far as clothes go.” At least I was until two seconds ago, when I started worrying about my figure flaws.

Snippet:
Sundays in an empty office had always been one of Jason’s favorite times. All businessall to himself.
He was a bit of a glutton that way. He liked his work. Early mornings, late at nights, and weekends were when he thrived. During the day he got caught up in watching the masses work. Everyone had a different methoda different style. There was the meeting maker who just loved to organize people into one place at one time. How many meetings had he been to where nothing had been covered? Then there was the one with the day planner in hand who had everything color coordinated. Did they spend more time on highlighting things than they did on the actual events? His favorite was the chaos organized. The people who had papers all over their desk, looked as if they’d been tasered, and yet knew right where everything wasthose were the people he enjoyed the most. They weren’t looking for his approval, they were there to get a job done.
He supposed, in a sense, he was the latter of the organized, however, usually being the supervisor or boss, he had to look like the color-coordinated person. Maybe that was why he liked working when everyone else was gone. He could live in his chaos and no one could see it.
As he went over the list of potential new clients that William had provided him with, he heard the sound of the elevator and a door. Maybe he wasn’t the only person who coveted Sundays in the office.
Pushing back from his desk, he slowly walked to his office door and listened again. Yes, someone was on the floor, and it didn’t sound like housekeeping.
He walked along the corridor flanked with windowed offices and cubicles. His sneakers made no noise on the carpet. There had been no fear that it might be an intruder, as someone would have had to have the key to the elevator to arrive on the floor.
As he turned the corner, he noticed the light in the office closest to the reception area. The office where he’d met Chloe on Friday.
Giving it some thought as he slowly and quietly moved toward her office, he took her as the color-coded type of organizer. Yeah, she was no nonsense and ready to take over the world.
He was glad she was there. It would give them some time to get to know one another. Maybe he could get some insight as to why she’d looked so frazzled when he’d introduced himself as the Account Manager.
Jason turned the corner to her office, a smile at the ready, and friendly conversation lined up in his mind as a stapler flew through the air nailing him right in the forehead.
He stumbled back, hitting one of the walls of a nearby cubicle before falling to the floor with blood dripping in his eye from where he’d collided with the stapler.
“Oh-my-God!”
He heard the trembling voice before he saw the fuzzy image of the woman in yoga pants and an oversized sweat shirt kneeling down in front of him.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” She stood, knocking her knee into his side as she tore tissues from a box on a random desk and pressed them to his head. “I never have anyone in here on Sundays. I didn’t know anyone was here. I saw you lurking, and
“I wasn’t lurking.”
“You were lurking.” She sat down next to him on the floor. “I think I should take you to emergency care. You might need stitches.”
“It’ll be a tale for tomorrow, that’s for sure,” he said as he tried to sit up and steady himself. “I’m sorry I scared you.”
“Seriously, I’m sorry. I’m all worked up, and I’ve been on the road for hours, I’m a little punchy. Where’s your coat? I’ll take you for stitches.”
Jason’s head pounded, but he couldn’t help but use that smile he’d been saving as he looked up at her.
Her brown hair was tossed up in one of those messy buns, and she had no makeup on. The sweatshirt said Aubrey Heights High School on it, and it had been worn many, many times. She looked much different than the uptight professional he’d met on Friday. Maybe it was the injury to his head, but something stirred in him to want to kiss her.

One shattered window. Two bruised hearts. And twelve days until Christmas.

Tessa Doyle’s semester in Europe left her a much wiser woman. But then she takes a job referral from her ex-boyfriend, and agrees to repair the stained-glass window, the last work she will need for her MFA. With a two-week deadline, she will have no time for anything else, especially men.

Sean Cavanagh’s Christmas season has lost all its cheer. Nothing has gone according to his plans for Christmas since the drone broke the window. Now organ pipes are missing, and a blizzard is threatening to cancel what could be Granda’s last sermon.

With a little magic and a lot of snow, Tessa and Sean work together to repair not just a window, but also their hearts.

August 2018 Extended Ending: Granda’s house hid more than boxes of papers could they be worth a million or more?

Snippet:
A tiny frown settled between her eyebrows. “May I see the broken window?”
Sean waved his arm to the far side of the sanctuary. “Sure, look all you want. Just don’t touch.”
“But I am going to need to touch it.”
“Whatever for?”
“If I’m going to fix it, I’ll need to touch it.”
“You fix the window?”
The woman’s chin lifted. “Of course. Why else would I be here?”
“What happened to Doyle?”
“Mr. Cavanagh, I happen to be Miss Tessa Doyle.”
“But you are a woman.”
“I have been all my life. Is this a problem for you?” She moved her hands to her hips, her eyes flashing. They were almost the same color blue as the glass in Mary’s robe. “Are you objecting to me repairing your window because I am female?”

Born in a small town in north central Oregon, H. L. Burke spent most of her childhood around trees and farm animals and was always accompanied by a book. Growing up with epic heroes from Middle Earth and Narnia keeping her company, she also became an incurable romantic.

An addictive personality, she jumped from one fandom to another, being at times completely obsessed with various books, movies, or television series (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Star Trek all took their turns), but she has grown to be what she considers a well-rounded connoisseur of geek culture.

Married to her high school crush who is now a US Marine, she has moved multiple times in her adult life but believes that home is wherever her husband, two daughters, and pets are.

Surprised, Matt jerked the wheel of his car, swerved off the road and headed down an embankment

Monday, December 9th, 2019

Betsy Love has loved to write from the moment she could hold a pen and has been creating stories ever since she was in elementary school. Her high school creative writing teacher told her that one day she would be published.

When not sitting at her computer pouring her heart and soul into her novels, she loves going to her mountain property for inspiration and to escape the desert heat. She loves spending time with her family. At last count she has 20 grandchildren, has given up on gardening. If she had a horse, she might give up writing.

Joie, an over-confident rookie elf, is on her first assignment.

Its one week before Christmas, and she must find a mother for eight-year-old Emily. Not an easy task, since Emilys grieving father, Matt, is not ready for marriage. Hes still bitter about the accident that killed his wife and handicapped his daughter.

When events turn Joie into a human, she loses her magic and must use her ingenuity to heal the broken family. How could falling love be the answer?

Snippet:
Do you think perhaps your wife wants to tell you that youre doing a good job taking care of your daughter, by setting those babies in the middle of the road for you? It might just be a message from the other side.
Surprised, Matt jerked the wheel of his car, swerved off the road and headed down an embankment before he slammed on his breaks, bringing his vehicle to a stop. His heart pounded.
The bundle on the back seat landed with a thunk on the floor. Six little howlers set up a commotion.
Matt turned and searched the back seat. Who said that?
Suddenly, lights flashed behind him. A highway patrol car pulled off the road slightly up the embankment from him. The flashlight bounced in the rearview mirror as the officer descended the hill.
Rolling down the window, the cold night air prickled his bared arms in spite of the warmth inside the truck.
Is everything all right? The officer shined his light inside. The beam rested on the bottle of MARTINELLIs, the cap had come off, and the inside of the car reeked of apple cider.
ImIm fine.Matt stumbled over his words. His heart had sped up with the appearance of the patrolman.
Step out of your vehicle. The officer backed up to allow Matt to open his door.
Matt left the warmth and stepped into the frigid night. I havent been drinking. Thats a non-alcoholic beverage.Matt pointed back inside the truck where the bottle rested.
Id still like to run a sobriety test. His name badge read Goodman.

A boy
A dance
A disappearing act
A lost shoe
A wicked Great Aunt
There I was, starring in my very own fairytale, dancing with a handsome stranger at the Christmas Winter Dance.
But then, in a Cinderella reversal, he was gone!
And I was left musing over the boy who had set my heart on fire.
Can I find him again, and will I get my happy ending with the boy from the Christmas Dance?

                                                                       Kylie Key’s Bio:

Kylie is still very young at heart. She loves writing about first crushes, first kisses and first loves.

My kind of author.

She lives near the mountains (in New Zealand), and loves walking alongside the river, which is where she dreams up her stories.

How awesome, Kylie. I am officially jealous.

Other things she likes are her two cats, Toby and Steve, chocolate in any form and watching sunsets at the beach.

An anonymous donor pays to have the church furnace repaired, and then other locals suddenly find solutions to their problems. Is it coincidental, or the work of a secret angel?

                                                                  ABOUT the BOOK

Doctoral student Hannah Wagganer has big dreams of leaving her hometown of Glen Arbor behind to teach at a large university. That is, until Jasper Morgan, the new mail carrier, arrives in town. Not only does he send Hannah’s heart racing, but he creates an instant bond with her cat, Jingles.

While Hannah is busy preparing for the church’s candlelight Christmas Eve service and running the family store, she keeps bumping into Jasper—right in front of the prying eyes of the locals, who suspect there’s more going on than business as usual.

But then, a series of unexpected blessings occurs that changes the town’s focus: first, an anonymous donor pays to have the church furnace repaired, and then other locals suddenly find solutions to their problems. Is it coincidental, or the work of a secret angel?

                                                                     THE AUTHOR

Cherry resides in the Mitten State with her husband of 19 years and a tabby cat named Caden. A true Michigander, she points at the palm of her right hand when telling people where she lives, drinks Vernors ginger ale when she’s under the weather, wears shorts and a sweatshirt at the same time, and measures distance in minutes, not miles. She also cheers for her favorite football team, the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!

A confirmed night owl, Cherry wholeheartedly agrees with whoever said, “I could be a morning person, if morning happened around noon.” It’s no surprise then she prefers to write in the evening. She’s a bit of a pantser writer, meaning she dreams up stories without using an outline, so every day is an exciting adventure as she waits to see where the characters lead her next!

A lifelong avid reader, Cherry turned to writing as a creative outlet. Drawing partly from her own experiences, and partly from her wild imagination, she weaves romantic tales with a smidgen of religion and a hint of mystery. Cherry’s first novel, The Fearful Heart, debuted in 2014, and she has never looked back. She continues to grow as an author, learning more about the writing craft with each book.

A stolen Christmas kiss leaves them bewildered and breathless.

A charming rogue-turned-vicar, Will wants to prove that he left his rakish days behind him, but an accidental kiss changes all his plans. His secret could bring them together…or divide them forever.

Holly has two Christmas wishes this year; finally earn her mother’s approval by gaining the notice of a handsome earl, and learn the identity of the stranger who gave her a heart-shattering kiss…even if that stranger is the resident Christmas ghost.

Snippet:
“There you are,” a low male voice murmured barely above a whisper.
With a squeak, she jumped.
A soft laugh came in reply and that same low voice said, “Forgive me for startling you.”
She tried to peer into the face of the dark figure nearby but looking at the brightness of the moonlight on the snow outside had all but blinded her. Which guest had come to the conservatory? She was supposed to remain here alone.
A silhouetted male form neared. “You are so lovely.”
Was that Lord Bradbury? Did he truly think her lovely? He’d hardly exchanged two words with her since she and her parents arrived this morning. Who else might have come?
The figure sank into the next seat to her. Before Holly said a word, a warm, gentle, ungloved hand touched her cheek. She froze. A pair of lips pressed against hers. Soft, tender, invigorating, his kiss immobilized her. His lips moved across hers, testing, offering. He tasted faintly of citrus and cinnamon, exotic, and delicious. The heat of his lips lit an answering warmth inside. Oh heavens, she’d never imagined such a sensation! His lips continued to play with hers while a sweet ache formed. With both hands, he cradled her face, and deepened the kiss. An exquisitely delicious sensation carried her closer to an edge she never knew existed. An untouched place in her heart awoke and sang while the hot and cold tingles turned into a foreign longing. Every bone, muscle, and sinew in her body turned to liquid more decadent than the chocolate she liked to drink every morning.
She sighed. A soft male moan came in reply. The kiss ended but his soft lips planted tiny kisses along her cheek, her eyelids, her brow. Holly remained motionless, spellbound by the beauty and power of the kiss. His hands withdrew. She kept her eyes closed another heartbeat, unwilling to release the sensations shooting through her. Who had kissed her? And why?
Surely it was Lord Bradbury. Why else would he have encouraged her to come seeking a ghost? She opened her eyes.
She sat alone.
