Having been the class clown through most of her teenage years, eighteen-year-old Ashley Sweeney is ready to leave her family, friends, and reputation behind and start a new life in sunny California. But Ashley’s determination to show her dad and stepmom that she can handle herself in the big wide world falls apart when she becomes the victim of a mean-spirited prank. To make matters worse, the one guy she never wanted to see again has come to her rescue.
Collin Nichols wanted to serve an honorable LDS mission from the time he was old enough to know what one was. But when the former high school football star’s missionary service comes to a crashing halt, he’s suddenly the most unpopular guy in Forest Meadow, Idaho. Now, to avoid his parents’ disapproval and awkward stares from people who used to be his friends, he gladly accepts Ashley’s dad’s plea to help him bring her home safely. If only he can get Ashley to see his way . . . and if only he can forget the electric kiss they shared back in high school.
But getting home is only half the battle. Ashley soon is caught up in the craziness of college life and Collin is forced to stand on the sidelines and watch as she receives attention from a returned missionary who seems like the perfect match for her. But when an unwanted visitor from her past shows up on her doorstep, will she need to be rescued once again? And when the storm clouds finally lift, will a new love have formed in the mist?
Ashley’s dad turned to the police officer. “What about it, officer? May I have my daughter back now?”
“We’ll need to fill out some forms, then your daughter will be free to go.”
“Great.” Her dad abruptly stood and followed the officer to the door, waving at someone from down the hallway. “She’s in here. Come and wait with her while I go sign papers.”
“Sure. No problem,” a deep voice said. Wondering whom her dad was waving to, Ashley stood and turned around. A ghost from her past walked through the door, and her mouth fell open. Standing before her in all his white-toothed, well-muscled, and tawny-eyed splendor was none other than football quarterback Collin Nichols, his thick dark brown hair hidden under a baseball cap. Missionary Collin Nichols.
It couldn’t be. Wasn’t he was serving his mission in New York? “Collin? What are you doing here?”
This was the last thing she remembered before everything went black.

Historical Romance Series: Stories of Rebels, Adventure, and Mystery
The Rebel Series is a mixture of romance and adventure. Each book, set in the late 1700s, is a love story with mystery and suspense as a young couple and their rebel friends strive to help their country. The romance in this series can be enjoyed by young and old alike. For those who enjoy strong women characters, all three books have this in common. They are independent women who have an opinion and are not afraid to express it. The heroes in this series are rebels with a sense of justice. They are chivalrous and their feelings run deep for the young women they’re in love with.
In The Rebels of Cordovia, centuries after the legendary Robin Hood, a group of men and women find themselves fighting for the same cause. In this battle for freedom, a tender love story begins to blossom. Daniel, a rogue and a leader of the Freemen, doesn’t realize that the sweet feminine woman he has met and is falling for happens to be the leader of Robin’s Rebels. Realizing the importance of uniting all the rebel groups, Daniel tries to recruit Robin’s Rebels but they refuse. Now he has to find a way to convince them. When he finds out the leader is actually a woman, what will his reaction be?
What a fun and interesting tale The Rebels of Cordovia is. A very good story to keep you glued all the way to the end. I really enjoyed the romance mingled with the fights. It is a well-paced tale to give you entertainment for a warm day on summer at the beach, or next to a warm fire in the rain. Linda writes a good, clean, and sweet romance, for young adults and adults alike. You will enjoy the story to the end.
Robin is a young woman whose father taught her all he knows about archery and sword fighting. Her strength is great in the art of the bow and arrow. As the head of twenty-five men and women, Robin is respected and has earned a good reputation for her group of rebels. She is strong and stubborn, yet a gentle and loving woman.
When she is challenged by Daniel, the rogue leader of the freemen, she accepts. You see, Daniel doesn’t know Robin is a woman—let alone that she is the same woman he fell in-love with. She expected many trials in her efforts to recover the throne from a usurper but, what she least expected was to find love.
In book two, The Highwayman of Cordovia, the people enjoy their new-found liberty but all is not well. One year after Cordovia gains its freedom, a group of powerful men plan to take over the small country and replace the leader with a king.
In The Highwayman of Cordovia you will find secrets, forbidden romance, and a highwayman that merits a medal. This book two of the Rebel Series is an adventure that takes freedom to heart and the characters will defend it with their lives. It is another great historical novel from the pen of Linda Weaver Clarke.
In Cordovia, a man and his Kingmen want to topple the president of the country. They take away the people’s land and also their ways of life. He tries to make them believe that they will be better off if he is in power. Many believes him. Others don’t, like Christine, the pastor’s daughter, who writes an article in the newspaper about her opposing view.
Another who knows better is Austin, who, like Robin Hood, steals from the Kingmen and gives it to the poor. All seems well until he gets reacquainted with Christine and a romance grows between them.
This is a clean read full of patriotic fervor and blood. It is a great read for anyone who likes history and a clean romance. The characters are charming and well developed. I recommend it to anyone, young or old.
The third book, The Fox of Cordovia, has adventure and mystery along with a “second-chance” love story. A sinister plot has just been uncovered and its up to a former patriot and a young nurse to discover who is behind it. Caroline is engaged to the future mayor of Laketown, a man of influence and greatly respected. But all that changes when she overhears a conspiracy behind closed doors. After being discovered, she runs for her life. Caroline needs to report her findings, but whom can she trust? When she asks Jesse Conover for help, the adventure begins.
To begin, I would like to say that I love the covers of the Rebel series, they look perfect for the era just like the story contained within its pages. This historical fiction seems to be taken from the pages of a history book. It is well written with good facts and is quite charming. This story will keep you up all night.
Caroline, the daughter of the doctor who helped the rebels through the other two books in this series is engaged to be married. All falls apart when she hears her husband to be plan a kidnapping of someone important to further his political campaign. The plotters see her and she runs for her life, falling into the hands of the Fox of Cordovia, though she doesn’t know it. They embark on a quest to find the truth and on the way they find love.
The Fox of Cordovia is the finale of the clean Rebel Series and is a great one at that. Mystery, treason and love is what you will find between its covers.

Artist Abigail Carson crashes off the deserted highway during a Wyoming blizzard while driving to reach her dying mother. Carbon County Sheriff Jackson Reynolds rescues her, leaving her Jeep in the
snowdrift as the storm becomes a whiteout. They’re trapped at his ranch for the week leading up to Christmas, along with his two young daughters, a protective
mother-in-law, and a bitter memory of his dead wife.
Tensions rise as Abby’s attraction grows for the tough sheriff. She must crack through his emotional wall before the storm breaks or lose her only chance for real love. But if the storm doesn’t stop soon enough, Abby may lose her opportunity to ask her mother’s forgiveness for running away almost ten years before.
Snowdrift is a story about love, faith, and
If serendipity played a hand in Abby’s journey, she couldn’t see it through the blowing snow. With her sweatshirt sleeves pulled down over her hands for warmth, she squinted past the fast-paced windshield wipers into the Wyoming blizzard. Even with the Jeep’s heater on high, the icy wind blew in through the gaps of the soft-top fast enough it threatened to plunge Abby’s body into hypothermia. Common sense had told her to stop at the last town, but her heart
whispered to take the chance and keep going. A hundred more miles on the narrow two-lane highway and she could see her mother before she died.
Twenty-seven-year-old Abby rubbed her sleeve under her nose and sniffed back another volley of tears.
“Hold on, Mom . . . I’m almost there.”
It had been close to ten years since Abby had even talked with her. Truthfully, deciding whether or not to come had been made at the last minute. She’d changed her mind twice since climbing into her Jeep and driving away from her home in the low desert of Arizona. Abby lifted her phone from the passenger seat. Maybe
she could redial the man who had called claiming to be her mom’s husband and tell him how close she was. At least then her sick mother would know she still cared.
A sick, gliding sensation drew her attention back out the windshield. She couldn’t see the road. Abby’s heart flipped when she realized the Jeep was skidding, turning out of control in the whiteness.
When the Wrangler jerked to a sudden stop, Abby hit her forehead on the steering wheel. She waited with her pulse pounding in her neck. Would the Jeep slide down some obscured cliff? Seconds dragged into minutes. Abby let loose of the steering wheel and touched her head. She couldn’t feel anything. Her fingertips
were too cold.

Continuing the adventure that ended in Britain just a
short while ago, cousins Adam and Justin Sinclair, with their friend Kim
Maleka, are now hunting for the third Stone of Power, one of seven mysterious
stones lost centuries ago. The third stone might be located in an ancient city,
hidden in the depths of the Mexican jungle. When their small plane crashes in
the jungle, Adam, Justin, Kim, and James are rescued by an uncontacted tribe.
James, who is wounded, must stay behind as the kids, with only a young boy,
Tukum, as their guide, make their way through the dense and dangerous jungle to
find the city. River rafting on a crocodile-infested river and evading
predators are just part of this hazardous task.
Of course, their old adversary Dr. Khalid is close
behind as the kids press on in search of the lost city of stone gods. But he is
not the worst of their problems. This time Adam will clash with a terrible
enemy who adopts the persona of an evil Aztec god, Tezcatlipoca, and is keen to
revive the ancient tradition of human sacrifice. Adam, Justin, and Tukum must
play a dreadful ball game of life and death and maybe survive. Will they emerge
alive from the jungle? Will Dr. Khalid find the third Stone of Power before
I am a children’s author, but up until a few years ago, I was a journalist and editor. Something rather unexpected sparked my new career as an author—a family trip to Egypt with my
mother and two young nephews. We had a great time and I thought I’d write them a short story as a different kind of souvenir…. Well, one book and a planned book series later, I had changed careers. I have now published Book 3 (The Temple of the Crystal Timekeeper) in my MG adventure series Chronicles of the
Stone, with many awards for the first book, The Secret of the Sacred Scarab, and a few for Book 2, The Search for the Stone of Excalibur,
and one already for Book 3! I also teach online novel writing for aspiring authors and I find that very satisfying. Relaxation time finds me enjoying something creative or artistic, music, books, theatre or ballet. I love doing research for my book series. I love animals and have written two animal rescue stories. I have two adorable (naughty) little dogs called Chloe and Pumpkin, and a beautiful black cat called Bertie.
The Temple of the Crystal Timekeeper by Fiona Ingram is a delightful young adult, clean fantasy with a touch of history. I found The Temple of the Crystal Timekeeper a great read for young and old. It is well written and I enjoyed the history lesson without any feeling that it was an information damp. Fiona Ingram did an excellent job mixing the story and the facts in a way that the reader doesn’t get disconnected from the tale.
Two cousins and an African girl crash in the Amazon forest in the central American region. Their guide and only adult on the trip is injured and out of commission for most of the book. They kids are lucky when a friendly native group finds them and agrees to help their guide and take them to the lost city of the stone gods. Their purpose is to find the third stone of power before Dr. Khalid does. But help from the outside world disappears like the night from the day. On their way, they will have to keep a step ahead of Dr. Khalid, Tezcatlipoca’s men, the jungle animals and avoid becoming human sacrifices.
The Temple of the Crystal Timekeeper by Fiona Ingram will be an excellent addition to any home library. I recommend it as a great reading material for any lovers of fantasy, young adults, and Mayan and Aztec history buffs, no matter their age. It is refreshing, good paced, has lovable characters and mean enemies.

my love of travel. My
days are spent in an office overlooking Los Angeles International
Airport where I work as a Director of Marketing for a data center
technology firm, which wouldn’t make you think I had an MFA in film
with an emphasis on writing from Chapman University. However, I also
have degrees in visual communications and global communications,
which allowed me to work for some of the finest technology firms in
the world. In my spare time I have penned six screenplays, four stage
plays, an opera libretto, numerous short stories, and five
manuscripts for novels. My heart lies with my manuscripts, which are
focused on YA and New Adult audiences and range in subject from
Vikings in Iceland to Knights Templar in Italy to Aborigine mysticism
in Australia to shapeshifters in Los Angeles. Website

She grew up running, exploring, and adventuring in the wild forests of Missouri, that will always hold a special place in her heart.

much dark side as she has light (pun intended), and is nerdy, ridiculous, but a sincere, real human. One of her favorite quotes is: “”To be human is to be beautifully flawed””.

Marie never expected to wake up in North Pole City, let alone become Santa’s Emergency Replacement. It was a job she never wanted but
couldn’t turn down, thanks to Clarence, Santa’s right hand man. Now, Marie has to work with Clarence, who believes she is some kind of criminal who will cause
the destruction of everything he holds dear.
Trying to prove that he’s wrong, Marie keeps making mistakes that push them even further apart. It doesn’t help that she has a past she’d rather keep hidden. However, trying to keep her past where it should belong isn’t easy.
Just when Marie starts to feel like things are coming together, a madman with a bone to pick, and Christmas to ruin, threatens the whole of the North Pole Organization. Marie must rely on Clarence and her new friends to help her face her past before Christmas is gone forever. But does she have the courage to
truly be herself when it could mean losing everything?
The bullet struck just left of her chest, near the
shoulder blade. She lost balance, twisting from the force. With eyes wide open
in shock, she stared at the man who had taken everything away, her freedom, her
family, and now, her life. Her feet continued to twist as her head whipped
around, sending her over the roof’s edge as thunder rumbled through the air. A
scream of agony was forced through frozen lips, and then was silenced as the
rain came pouring down.

She was named Arizona Young Mother of the Year in 2013 and contributes marriage and family articles to FamilyShare.com. She loves most creative endeavors and when she isn’t writing or re-writing, you can find her baking or cross-stitching or walking–though not all at the same time. She lives with her husband and three

Four seasons. That’s how long Angela Donovan hoped to know Mark Shafer before they married. But less than a year later, she still fears that she’s repeating the mistake of a failed relationship.
As Christmas approaches, she senses Mark’s plans for a proposal, and wonders if she can learn to trust again. Mark has learned all there is to know about the Shafer miracle trees—or so he thinks.
Papa reveals secrets about the trees’ matchmaking power just as a highway expansion threatens to destroy the family legacy. Mark is determined to save the farm, and the promise of love stirring in the branches of the Shafer miracle trees. Heartwarming and engaging,
The Tree Keeper’s Promise captures the warmth and wonder of the holiday season.
“They say no two trees are exactly alike. Growing them may be a science, but choosing the right one to decorate for Christmas—well, that’s an art. And it was the only thing Angela’s daughter wanted for her ninth birthday—to go to Mark Shafer’s farm and
find the perfect tree for Christmas. And why wouldn’t she? As Mark’s
grandfather Papa Shafer had told them last year, they were miracle trees.”

Rebecca Hunter thought senior year would be all about hockey games, parties, dances, and college applications. When Becca’s absentee mom dies, things take a drastic turn. This covert group, Project Lightning, offers to train her, but soon they discover she doesn’t just have her mom’s power, she has more. And that’s never been seen before.
