The
Quinnipiac Disappearance
Tawnee
Mountain Mysteries Book 7
by
Lee Tidball

Down
in South Jersey, you got your Jersey Devil and the Pine Barrens.
Up here, we got E.T.s and Quinnipiac.”

So
says Alan Riddiak, NSA field agent Jake Farrister’s friend, as they
rent kayaks at Quinnipiac Reservoir, site of what locals say was the
most credible mass sighting of a UFO in human history, and just miles
from the swanky Tawnee Mountain Resort, where Alan’s boss, revered
Senator Grant Bilson of New Jersey, is on an August recess
retreat.

Ok…”
smirks Jake.

But
smirks turn to shock when two bizarre disappearances and an attempted
murder suck the rest out of the retreat, and Senator Bilson
commissions Jake to solve the mysteries.

Jake
finds nothing but frustration, though, until he finally concedes what
quirky new friend Nikki Hayes has told him all along; when it comes
to Quinnipiac, the only explanations are inexplicable, the only
believable witnesses are unbelievable, and in order to stop the
world-shattering plot at the heart of the mysteries, Jake must do
what he thought was unthinkable—and hope he’s not too late.

Egypt,
1908
University

Quintillus, on the archeological dig to uncover Cleopatra’s tomb.
Her presence is required for a ceremony conducted by the renowned

soon after inhabiting her host, leaving Lizzie’s soul adrift . . .
Vienna,

Paula
Bancroft’s husband just leased Villa Dürnstein, an estate once

numerous volumes dedicated to Cleopatra. But the archeologist’s
interest in the Egyptian empress deviated from scholarly into

senses, threatening her very sanity, she uncovers the link between
the villa, Quintillus, and a woman named Lizzie Charters.

DESTINY
IN DEATH

Egypt,
1908

Eminent
archeologist Dr. Emeryk Quintillus has unearthed the burial chamber
of Cleopatra. But this tomb raider’s obsession with the Queen of
the Nile has nothing to do with preserving history. Stealing sacred
and priceless relics, he murders his expedition crew, and
flees—escaping the quake that swallows the site beneath the desert
sands . . .

Vienna,
1913

Young
widow Adeline Ogilvy has accepted employment at the mansion of Dr.
Quintillus, transcribing the late professor’s memoirs. Within the
pages of his journals, she discovers the ravings of a madman
convinced he possessed the ability to reincarnate Cleopatra. Within
the walls of his home, she is assailed by unexplained phenomena:
strange sounds, shadowy figures, and apparitions of
hieroglyphics.

Something
pursued Dr. Quintillus from Egypt. Something dark, something hungry.
Something tied to the fate and future of Adeline Ogilvy . . .

What if King James VI of Scotland didn’t succeed in amalgamating Scotland with England?

Thursday, April 26th, 2018

There are so many possibilities that affect the course of history. One change, one small item overlooked, can make a world of difference, not only in a person’s life, but in the history and well-being of an entire nation. And then there are those multiple scenarios of what if?

What if King James VI of Scotland didn’t succeed in amalgamating Scotland with England? What if there had been another heir to the throne of Scotland? One who would secure its independence? Would Scotland have remained free and independent and a nation of its own well into the twenty-first century? And would Scotland, this independent version, make its own decision to join the European Union when its southern neighbor was choosing to pull away?

“Queen Mary’s Daughter” presents another plausible timeline, one that incorporates both historical fact and fiction with the endless possibilities of time travel.

Day
Reaper
The
Night Blood Series #4
by
Melody Johnson
Genre:
Paranormal Romance

On
the brink of death, Cassidy DiRocco demands that New York City’s
master of the supernatural, Dominic Lysander, transform her—reporter,
Night Blood, sister, human—into the very creature she’s feared
and fought against for months: a vampire. The pain is brutal, she
could lose the career she’s worked so hard to achieve, and her
world will never be the same. But surviving is worth any risk,
especially when it means gaining the strength to fight against
Jillian Allister, the sister who betrayed Dominic, attacked Cassidy,
and is leading a vampire uprising that will destroy all of New York
City . . .
When
she awakens, however, Cassidy realizes the cost of being transformed
might be more than she was willing to sacrifice. But if Cassidy hopes
to right the irrevocable wrongs that Jillian and her army of the
Damned have wrought on New York City, she’ll need to not only
accept her new senses, body, and cravings, but wield them in her
favor. Irresistible and enigmatic as Dominic is, he no longer has
command over the city or its vampires. Only Cassidy has the
connections to convince the humans, Day Reapers, and the few vampires
still loyal to Dominic to join forces. And maybe, if Dominic can
accept her rising power over the coven he once commanded for the past
several hundred years, the two of them together might forge a bond
more potent than history has ever known. . .

THE
LEVELING

Last
week, Cassidy DiRocco had some influence over the vampires that stalk
the streets of New York City. She was never completely safe, but with
her newfound abilities as a night blood and her honed instincts as a
crime reporter, at least she had the necessary skills to
survive.

Now,
thanks to the injuries she sustained while saving her brother from a
fate worse than death, she’s lost her night blood status just as
another crime spree hits Brooklyn. Dozens of people are being
slaughtered, and each victim bears the Damned’s signature mark; a
missing heart.

Cassidy
will need the help of all her allies to survive the coming war,
including the mysterious and charismatic Dominic Lysander, Master
Vampire of New York City. But as his rival’s army threatens his
coven and his own powers weaken with the approaching Leveling, even
Dominic’s defenses might not be enough protection.

With
nothing left to lose, Cassidy must find the power inside herself to
save Dominic, his coven, their city, and survive.

The
Night Blood Series #2

Trust
No One

Cassidy
DiRocco knows the dark side intimately–as a crime reporter in New
York City, she sees it every day. But since she discovered that she’s
a night blood, her power and potential has led the dark right to her
doorway. With her brother missing and no one remembering he exists,
she makes a deal with Dominic Lysander, the fascinating master
vampire of New York, to find him.

Dominic
needs the help of Bex, another master vampire, to keep peace in the
city, so he sends Cassidy to a remote, woodsy town upstate to
convince her–assuming she survives long enough. A series of vicious
“animal attacks” after dark tells Cassidy there’s more to
Bex and her coven than anyone’s saying. That goes double for fellow
night blood Ian Walker, the tall, blond animal tracker who’s supposed
to be her ally. Walker may be hot-blooded and hard-bodied, but he’s
hiding something too. If Cassidy wants the truth, she’ll have to
squeeze it out herself… every last drop.

thing New York City’s underbelly had to offer. But while covering

of the handsome yet brutal Dominic Lysander, the Master Vampire of
New York City, who has no problem silencing her to keep his coven’s
secrets safe…

But
Dominic offers Cassidy another option: ally. He reveals she is a
night blood, a being with powers of her own, including the ability to
become a vampire. As the body count escalates, Cassidy is caught in
the middle of a vampire rebellion. Dominic insists she can help him
stop the coming war, but wary of his intentions, Cassidy enlists the
help of the charming Ian Walker, a fellow night blood. As the battle

Each serves a different emotion: Vengeance, Sorrow and Redemption

Dreams
of Winter
A
Forgotten Gods Tale Book 1
by
Christian Warren Freed
Genre:
Fantasy

Under
the rigid guidance of the Conclave; an order of holy men seeking to
bring back the glory of the time of the gods, the Order of the
Inquisition and their Prekhauten Guard divisions the seven hundred
known worlds carve out a new empire with the compassion and wisdom
the gods once offered. But a terrible secret, known only to the most
powerful, threatens to undo three millennia of progress. The gods are
not dead at all. They merely sleep. And they are being
hunted.

Senior
Inquisitor Tolde Breed is sent to the planet Crimeat to investigate
the escape of one of the most deadly beings in the universe.
Amongeratix, one of the three sons of the god-king is loose once
again, the fabled Three. Tolde arrives on a world where heresy breeds
insurrection and war is only a matter of time. Tolde is aided by
Sister Abigail of the Order of Blood Witches in his quest to find
Amongeratix and return him to Conclave custody before he can begin
his reign of terror.

What
he doesn’t know is that the Three are already operating on Crimeat.
Each serves a different emotion: Vengeance, Sorrow and Redemption.
Their touch drives the various characters beyond themselves and
towards an uncertain future that can only end one of two ways. Either
the Three win and finally destroy the gods, or humanity stops them
and continues to survive.

Reason
To Die
by
Debbie De Louise
Genre:
Crime Mystery

Someone
is strangling disabled people in the small town of Baxter,
Connecticut. Detective Courtney Lang and her ex-partner and ex-lover,
wheelchair-bound Bill Thompson, are paired up again and put in charge
of the investigation.
During
the search, Courtney uncovers information that points towards a
connection between the murders and an unsolved series of muggings by
a masked man, the same man who shot and disabled Bill a year ago on
the night he proposed marriage to her.
Complicating
matters for Courtney is her guilt about Thompson’s shooting, her
affair with her new partner, Mark Farrell, and her unresolved
feelings over the deaths of her mother and sister who perished in a
fire when she was away from home.
As
the deaths accrue and the “Handicapped Strangler” as the killer
is coined by the press continues to rampage the town adding victims
of different ages, sex and disabilities to the murder count, Courtney
discovers a clue that could crack open the case but may put her and

My
name is Debbie De Louise. I am a reference librarian at a public
library on Long Island and the award-winning author of the Cobble
Cove mystery series. I have a B.A. in English and an MLS in Library
Science.

My
first novel, a paranormal romance, “Cloudy Rainbow”
(Booklocker 2008) received an honorable mention in the Writer’s
Digest self-published awards. I wrote that book after my beloved cat,
Floppy, died from diabetic and liver complications. The book is
dedicated to him, and he is featured as a character in it. I have
recently signed with my publisher to reprint this book, and it will
soon be available as a paperback as well as an eBook.

My
second novel, the first book of the Cobble Cove Mystery series, “A
Stone’s Throw,” (November 2015) was published by Limitless
Publishing, LLC. It is the story of a widowed librarian who visits
her husband’s hometown and finds a new love with the town’s newspaper
publisher but also discovers some alarming truths about her husband’s
death and its connection to the publisher and his family. Along with
a variety of characters, there is also a cat and dog who play minor
but interesting roles in the novel. The second Cobble Cove Mystery,
“Between a Rock and a Hard Place” was released in October
2016 by Solstice Publishing and a reprint of “A Stone’s Throw”
with an additional chapter was published in March, 2017. The third
book of the series, “Written in Stone,” was released in
April, 2017. I’ve also published a romantic comedy novella, “When
Jack Trumps Ace.”

I’m
currently working on a standalone mystery, Reason to Die, and have
several other writing projects planned for 2018 including a new cozy
mystery series along with the fourth volume of the Cobble Cove
mysteries.

I’m
a member of International Thriller Writers, Sisters-in-Crime, the Cat
Writer’s Association, and Long Island Authors Group and have
published articles in Cats Magazine and Catnip (Tufts University
Veterinary Newsletter). I won the Glamour Puss special award from
Hartz Corporation for my Catster.com article, “Brushing your cat
for bonding, beauty, and better health,” (June, 2016). My short
mystery, “Stitches in Time” was published in the Cat Crimes
Through Time Anthology, (1999). I have also published several other
short stories of various genres in Solstice anthologies. I live on

one person can make a difference, just think what three can do.

Clint
Westerly was a success until a fateful choice he makes tears his
world all apart. Tanya Wilshire is broke but hell-bent on committing
to her mother’s final deathbed request. 84-year-old Seamus Harrington

It’s hard enough to deal with losing Sydney, but now she may lose her best friend, too

Sunday, April 15th, 2018
Seven
Days to Goodbye
A
Trina Ryan Novel #1
by
Sheri Levy
Genre:
YA Coming of Age Fiction

After
Trina’s beloved dog dies, she swears she’ll never get another
one. But then she learns about service dogs, and realizes that if she
becomes a puppy raiser, she could train puppy after puppy and never
worry about them dying. But like all great ideas, this one has a
serious flaw: her first service puppy must be returned to his kennel
at the end of their week-long summer vacation. And saying goodbye to
Sydney is going to be much tougher than she ever imagined.

Trina’s
last week with Sydney is made that much harder by her newly strained
friendship with her best friend, Sarah, who’s become so
over-the-top boy crazy that she’s almost like a stranger. Sarah is
determined to have them hang out with every boy at the beach, but
when a boy named Chase takes an interest in Sydney and Trina, it puts
an even bigger strain on the friendship.

It’s
hard enough to deal with losing Sydney, but now she may lose her best
friend, too. And even if she manages to patch things up with
Sarah—and figures out what to do about Chase—she still must face
a daunting decision: is she strong enough to take on another service
puppy?

Author
Sheri S. Levy deftly taps adolescent themes of love, loss and
friendship through the added lens of a service dog’s life-changing
effects on her young trainer. A fresh twist on the familiar
coming-of-age tale. Well done!” — Jennifer Leeper, author, Padre:
The Narrowing Path

Trina’s
foray into the world of boys, friendship, and fashion while focusing
on the important task of training service dogs strikes just the right
balance. This canine-inspired coming-of-age tale is a poignant but
fun summertime story.” — Val Muller, author, the Corgi Capers
series and The Scarred Letter

Starting
Over
A
Trina Ryan Novel #2

Trina
Ryan’s challenging summer starts off with a puppy-fueled energy
burst as she takes on another service dog for training—an
eight-week-old black Labrador named Colton. And to help explore
another dream, she’s taken a job at the barn next door in exchange
for riding lessons with the barn’s schooling horse. Before long,
Trina butts heads with Morgan Hart, an ill-tempered but skilled rider
with a gorgeous thoroughbred named Knight.
Adding
to the list of frustrations is the difficulty in maintaining a
long-distance relationship with Chase, her first boyfriend from last
summer, while trying to deal with unwanted attention from a new boy
in her puppy training class. At least best friend Sarah still has her
back, but as Trina wearies of Morgan’s constant insults and her
heartless treatment of Knight, she decides to use her dog training
skills to look underneath Morgan’s hostile attitude and develop a
sense of trust.
Slowly,
Morgan’s angry shield cracks enough to where she’s able to share
a troubling family secret. Can Trina help Morgan confront her family
problems and make a fresh start?

Levy
is on sure ground in this enjoyable page-turner for young adults.
Readers see the world through the eyes of Trina Ryan, a freckle-faced
redhead with a big heart for horses, service dogs, and people in
need. Trina learns some of life’s most important lessons: that
people are not always what they seem, growing up involves tough
choices, and a first crush can be more exciting than she ever
dreamed. Poignant, fun, and adventuresome.” — Peggy Jo Shaw,
award-winning journalist, PR specialist, and book
author/editor

Starting
Over is a book you’ll want to give your daughter. A story about
best friends, boyfriends, enemies, and how to handle them all. Throw
in horses and puppies, and you have the perfect mix for an
entertaining, self-evolving read.” — C. Hope Clark, author,
Carolina Slade Mysteries and Edisto Island Mysteries

How
do you help a friend and stay true to yourself? Trina Ryan’s
struggles to cope and regroup should ring true for teens. Most people
probably never dream so much is involved. Teens who love to read
about animals should truly enjoy Starting Over.” — Lisa Williams
Kline, author, Eleanor Hill, Princesses of Atlantis, Write Before
Your Eyes, and the Sisters in All Seasons series

There’s
a lot going on in Trina’s life, but Levy weaves each thread
seamlessly. I especially enjoyed the detail about how to train a
service dog, as well as her experience in the barn mucking out
stalls, caring for the horses, and learning to ride. A must-read YA
novel for anyone who loves dogs and horses.” — Judy Sheluk,
author, The Hanged Man’s Noose and Skeletons in the Attic

Dogs!
Horses! Boys! What could be better? An energetic puppy learning to be
a service dog, a sweet-tempered horse, an absentee boyfriend, and
Trina, the girl who has to make some difficult decisions about all of
them. A lovely, thoughtful coming-of-age novel.” — Ellyn Bache,
author, Kaleidoscope, The Art of Saying Goodbye, and Safe Passage

Sheri,
a California gal, moved to Greenville, SC, & taught special
education. Her goal was to instill the love of books. When Sheri
retired, her students had created a desire for her to write. She
joined SCBWI, & Dog Writers Association. After years of enjoying
Edisto Beach with her Aussie and Black Lab, it became the setting for
her first YA novel, Seven Days to Goodbye.

Seven
Days to Goodbye involves a service dog connecting with a child with
autism, girls learning about the importance of friendships and trying
to keep theirs intact while flirting with guys for the first time. A
loggerhead turtle helps bring the girls together. The story has humor
and plenty of puppy love in both varieties. The second book in the
series will be, Starting Over.

Her decision will determine freedom or bondage, for her and for the world of Zndaria

Parents to four wonderful children, Jerry and Stephanie Jaeger enjoy working together as J.S. Jaeger to write uplifting, entertaining stories.

Jerry overcame bullying to earn his black belt in Kempo Karate. He served as a special agent for the FBI and currently works as a prosecutor.

Stephanie ran her own accounting practice for several years before turning her focus to writing Scrolls of Zndaria with Jerry.

Together, they are excited to bring readers of all ages into the magical world of Zndaria.

After tragedy strikes her kingdom, the king of Taycod welcomes Cenaya as one of his own. When she uncovers the secrets of her new family, her perceived perfect life begins to crumble. Now she must choose: ignore this new-found knowledge and continue living her spoiled existence or find the strength to become the leader her people need.
She must first decide who to trust. Can she rely on her mysterious father or the dazzling royal family? What of the alluring man who speaks of spreading peace across the land? And then there’s Nathanial McGray, a young man who appears out of nowhere. Her decision will determine freedom or bondage, for her and for the world of Zndaria.

First, let’s take a look inside the book
with this Excerpt

Young Cenaya’s eyes flew open. A bulky swamp creature stood over her bed. Thick leather armor covered its frog-like body. Her scream stuck in her throat. Moonlight beaming through Cenaya’s open window shined off the grob’s bulging, bloodshot eyes.
Run! Cenaya’s mind screeched. Her five-year-old body didn’t move.

The grob’s forked tongue flicked through crooked, decaying teeth. Drool dripped past its thin, green lips onto Cenaya’s nose and rolled down her cheek. The putrid smell made her stomach churn. Grabbing her by the neck, the grob lifted her away from her silky bed sheets.

Cenaya pulled at its slimy fingers. She couldn’t breathe. Soft footsteps entered her room.

With a shriek, the creature released its grip. Cenaya fell to the ground and rolled away. The grob toppled over.

Cenaya felt a rush of relief. She recognized the arrow sticking out from the back of the grob’s armor.

All the while, human beings continue to harm the Earth by destroying land, sea, air, animals and trees

Saturday, April 14th, 2018
Bitten
by
Alan Moore
Genre:
Thriller, Mystery, Suspense, Crime

In
the not-too-distant future, Italy is in disarray. It has voted to
leave the EU in an attempt to regain control of its laws, finances
and commerce. Even so, the country’s economy is shrinking and its
national debt rising. There is a marked escalation, too, in
unemployment, bank loans and immigration. Production and service
companies are in difficulty. The only thriving business areas are the
black market and organised crime. There is discontent and protest on
all sides.

In
Florence, the local Mafia boss, more accustomed to gunrunning and
trading in plutonium, is involved in organising a silent auction for
the sale of one of the world’s most valuable lost paintings – a
sixteenth-century masterpiece, which was appropriated in World War II
by Stalin’s Trophy Brigade. A British art expert is set to buy the
picture on behalf of his client, a South American billionaire – yet
surprisingly two Italian undercover intelligence agents, acting as
antique dealers, submit the winning bid.

All
the while, human beings continue to harm the Earth by destroying
land, sea, air, animals and trees. Global climate change, polluting
the atmosphere, depleting the ozone layer: these are some of man’s
crimes against Nature. But time is running out. Nature has lost
patience with humans. Unless something is done immediately to reverse
the destruction of the ecosystem, Nature will retaliate by deploying
the terrifying forces at her command. And as a first step in wreaking
her revenge, she instigates a reign of terror by the deadliest
creature on Earth.

SHATTERED ROADS
The Skyfire Saga
Book 1
by Alice
Henderson
Genre: Science Fiction/Dystopian

In a future laid
waste by environmental catastrophe, one woman in a shielded megacity
discovers a secret hidden within—and the nightmare of what lies
beyond.
Her designation is H124—a menial
worker in a city safeguarded against the devastating storms of the
outer world. In a community where consumerism has dulled the senses,
where apathy is the norm and education is a thing of the past, H124
has one job: remove the bodies of citizens when they pass away in
their living pods.
Then one night, H124’s routine leads
her into the underground ruins of an ancient university. Buried
within it is a prescient alarm set up generations ago: an
extinction-level asteroid is hurtling toward Earth.
When her warning is seen as an attempt
to topple the government with her knowledge of science, H124 is
hunted—and sent fleeing for her life beyond the shield of her
walled metropolis. In a weather-ravaged unknown, her only hope lies
with the Rovers, the most dangerous faction on Earth. For they have
continued to learn. And they have survived to help avert a terrifying
threat: the end of the world is near.
