Michael, tell us where you were born and where do you live now.
I was born in Williams AFB, Arizona and I now live in Eagle Mountain, UT.
From Arizona…What makes you passionate about writing?
I love working on something that starts out at just a thought and turns into a physical work of art that can bless people’s lives.
Amen Brother. 🙂 How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
In this case, I wrote a few stories in the total anthology, and those only took about two weeks. The actual process of compiling the anthology and getting it all put together took about nine months.
Anthologies take time, so they can be good. Who inspired you to write this book?
I decided to put this anthology together in honor of my son, Jarem, who is on the Autism spectrum. All of the proceeds of the anthology are going to Autism Speaks, which is a national Autism research and advocacy organization.
My son is involve in Autism benefits… What is the title of your book?
Carol of the Tales and Other Nightly Noels
Sound so Christmasy. Could you give us a back cover blurb?
Christmas carols capture the spirit of Christmas like nothing else, and Sing We Now of Christmas brings beloved carols to life like never before.
Walk in the footsteps of good King Wenceslas. Experience anew the bells on Christmas Day. Witness the journey of a soldier who lost his voice as he participates in the miracle of Silent Night.  Experience all this and more in these heartfelt, entertaining tales donated by a team of authors from across the country, teaming together for a good cause. Covering twenty-five stories–one for every day through Christmas itself–this anthology is ready to become a new advent tradition for your family!
What genre does your book fall under?
Inspirational Christmas short stories.
I love inspirational reading during Christmas Do you have a favorite character, why?
My favorite character is probably good King Wenceslas. One of the stories is historical fiction about King Wenceslas, and is based on the story of the historical figure Duke Vaclav on whom the Christmas carol is based.
Imagine that. What kind of impact do you want your works to have in the reader?
I hope the anthology will enrich their Christmas season by helping them focus on the true purpose for Christmas and to help them enjoy their favorite Christmas songs even more.
I love the idea. What else might pique the reader’s interest in your book?
Because there are 25 stories, you can read it like an advent calendar as a countdown to Christmas, and all the proceeds go for a good cause.
A Merry Christmas to you and your son, Michael. Where can we find your book?Â
