Cindy Hogan the author of “Watched”

Cindy, welcome. Tell us where you were born and where you live now.

I was born in Salt Lake City, UT but moved all around the country and now live in Layton, UT.

What makes you passionate about writing?

Thinking about my daughters’ and fans’ reactions when they read my books.

Very nice. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

It took me a year to write my first draft of Watched, my first spy novel and then 2 more years to get it where I wanted it. It only took me 6 months to write and complete the editing of Adrenaline Rush, my latest spy novel.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

It’s a bit embarrassing, but it’s true, I had a dream. I couldn’t stop thinking about the dream and soon the characters were taking over my every waking thought. I had to write Watched. It was a ton of fun and a ton of hard work.

I see what you mean. What is the title of your book?

Intriguing, Could you give us a back cover blurb?

It takes more than a school trip to Washington, DC to change Christy’s life. It takes murder.

A witness to the brutal slaying of a senator’s aide, Christy finds herself watched not only by the killers and the FBI, but also by two hot guys.

She discovers that if she can’t help the FBI, who want to protect her, it will cost her and her new friends their lives.

What genre does your book fall under?

Young Adult suspense with a dash of romance.

Cool…Do you have a favorite character, why?

Christy is my favorite character. I totally want to be her by the time she becomes a spy.

What kind of impact do you expect your works to have in the reader’s lives?

I hope my readers, first, find a great escape in my books and second, see that there is no limit to who they can become. They simply need to choose and then go for it. Who wouldn’t want to be a kick-butt spy?

LOL. What else might pique the reader’s interest in your book?

If you love being on the edge of your seat when you read and enjoy a fun love story, you’ll love the Watched Trilogy and Adrenaline Rush. Also, I write destination novels-that means that the places my characters go are real. The buildings, the parks, the streets-all of it. You’ll feel like you’ve been the places in my books. No need to travel…or maybe you’ll want to travel after reading my books.
