Candace, tell us where you were born –
Nothing special. I was born in cute little Payson, Utah, an a hospital that is now a library.
What is the most difficult thing about being an author?
Time. Writing is the easy part, I have stories in my head all the time, it’s everything else I have trouble with. Working, being a mom, being a wife, and everyone knows I love to get together and have fun. I wish i had more hours I could devote to writing and being an author. Ugh… being an adult stinks some times.
Who has made the greatest difference for you as a writer?
It’s hard to narrow it down to one person. I’m deeply influenced by who is around my at the times of my greatest struggle. In my current state and project I’d have to say my two girls are influencing me to keep going every day. They’re very proud of me. My youngest thinks I’m a star and that I know very famous people.
Who or What inspired you to write this book?
I’m currently finishing my third and last novel in my series. I’m inspired my all my fans, everyone that is so anxious to know how the story ends.
What is the name of your book?
And the next book?
Everstar, scheduled for release Spring 2016
Tell us more about it.
It’s the ending story of Naomi, the girl fated to save the world. Several secrets will be revealed. I’m very excited about this one. It also makes me a little sad to close this chapter in my life, but I’m brimming with ideas and anxious to get started on something new.
What genre does your book fall under?
This is Young Adult Fantasy. My favorite genre.
What other books would you compared to?
It’s an epic journey, but very casual in language. If you can think it’s like Hobbit or Sabriel or any Cassandra Clare.
What kind of impact do you expect your works to have in the reader’s lives?
I’ve always wanted to inspire people, because I was the last person I ever expected to not only write a book, but a series of books. But, creating worlds and magic systems and making others feel hope and joy… There’s nothing better in the world.
Is your book self-published or represented by an agency?
My books are published through Xchyler Publishing who specialize in Fantasy, Steampunk, and Paranormal fiction.
Where can we find your book?
The best way to get them is Amazon http://amzn.to/1HL97YX
