Interview with L. G. Rollins
Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself?
I love baking desserts. I homeschool my kids, and I was homeschooled myself. And my favorite show of all time is “I Love Lucy” (I watch it way more than I care to admit).
How long have you been a writer or known that was something you wanted to do?
I’ve wanted to be an author since I was seven. But I’ve been seriously pursuing it for about four years.
Tell me about your current project?
“Current project”? As in what I’m focused on right now? I’ve got two projects I’m working on now. One is the sequel to Shadows of Angels. And the other is a completely new adventure The Grave’s Secret, which is a contemporary, cozy murder mystery with an American Sign Language Interpreter as the main character.
What is the name of your Book?
Shadows of Angels
Where do you receive your inspiration or ideas for your books?
Everywhere. Experiences, other stories, things I see at the store. It all gets sucked up into my sub-conscious where they are woven together into stories.
Why did you choose to self-publish? Or go with the publisher you are with?
I love being published with Cedar Fort. They are a fantastic company and I am honored to be associated with them.
How often do you write?
Every day. Though I don’t always ‘first draft’. Sometimes I’m at the computer, putting down new ideas, or editing what I’ve written previously. But, sometimes, I’m taking in other stories, studying the craft of writing, or brainstorming how to improve my current projects.
G. Rollins grew up in a far off land fighting dragons, stealing talismans, and traveling with dwarfs and elves. She is especially skilled at bribing giants with sweets. Currently, her husband and four kids live in Utah so that is where she spends most of her time. She may, or may not, have a Zaad Stone. To learn more about L. G. Rollins and her books visit LGRollins.com.
Shadows of Angels comes out December 8th and is the beginning of the Zaad Stone trilogy.
Where can we find your book?
Amazon, or Barnes and Noble are both great places. You can also find out more on my Website, or from Cedar Fort. See you around.
