Ana enjoyed the calmness of the afternoon, and listened to his soothing, hypnotic voice for a while. Thoughts of a prior discussion on the vampire ceremony entered her mind, and she felt a need to understand the process better.
“What exactly do you mean bytasteyour blood?” She suddenly straightened and turned her head to stare at him.
For almost an hour Andree explained the details of the traditional vampire wedding ceremony.
“There will be two ceremonial daggers, sharp, with our names engraved on them. You will use the one—”
“Use? Are you telling me that I have to cut you in a room—an underground room—in the presence of hundreds of vampires? Are you for real? Are you—?”
Andree laughed and held her closer to him.
She could appreciate his gesture, but it didn’t help her feel better. It was bad enough she stood in that room the other night, under the scrutinizing glares. Adding blood to the equation wasn’t something to look forward to.
“You will cut your initial in the palm of my hand, here,” he explained, indicating a spot on his palm, right under his thumb. “I will do the same, and you will not feel a thing. Daniel will be right there with his spray. It will be quick and painless.”
“But what about the blood? I mean—”
“Nobody will attack you or me, guaranteed. It is part of the ceremony.”
“I’m not sure about it. You guys in general go crazy when you see or smell blood.”
“Ana, tasting my blood is a symbol. I am giving you my life, just as you will give me yours. It is what will bind us for eternity.” He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed her palm, sending tingles, as if a million tiny ants marched through her veins. “As I already told you, the ceremony is short, but every word we say, every gesture, symbolizes something.”
“Can’t we do all that without the blood part?” With the tingles melted away, and a nervous energy replacing them, she dared to gaze at him.

The story is interesting, charming and cozy. It has some small, interesting, mentions of fairytale personages but it isn’t a fairytale. It is quite unique and appealing to teens and adults alike. It discusses some adult topics though in a tactful way which attracted me a lot. The book could use a bit of editing to make it shine as much as it deserves. Still, here we find a great read for the entire family. Love the cover by the way, it depicted the story quite well.

Interesting, Who are your favorite authors? My favourite authors are George R. R. Martin, Brandon Sanderson, and Haruki Murakami. Growing up, I enjoyed reading the works of JK Rowling, Emily Rodda, Kathryn Lasky, and Christopher Paolini.
Loved the Aragon Series too. Tell us why you wrote your new book? I’ve always had ideas for fantastical tales and far-off adventures running through my mind. They would blast their way into my imagination, linger awhile, and then move on so the next idea could take its place. The Many Adventures of Peter and Fi is the first story that I will never forget. It’s the story that popped into my mind and refused to leave. The characters took hold and dragged me through a tale of incredible monsters, interesting characters, and jaw-dropping settings I had buried away in my imagination. It got to the point where the adventures started writing themselves. I had formed these characters so clearly in my mind that I no longer had to think about what they’d say or how they’d react. It was like watching a movie; I was just bearing witness to what they would do next.
I love it when characters do that. The Many Adventures of Peter and Fi, what is it about? The Many Adventures of Peter and Fi follows the titular characters as they work together, each searching for something uniquely special to them through the four kingdoms of their known world. It’s a tale of fantastical beasts, peculiar characters, remarkable settings, and a unique brand of biochemistry-based magic. A story that focuses on meaningful character interaction, delicate world building, and intense action battles.
What age is The many adventure of Peter and Fi intended for?
I’d say the main demographic is 13-25, but the story is meant for anyone who enjoys getting lost in a fantasy world.
Sounds interesting. Is there a book trailer for your book? You can find out more about the first volume and the plans for the Peter and Fi series as a whole here: https://youtu.be/SjR8NQWJoP0

Nine months have passed since Brynne Sullyan helped forge an alliance between the realms of Albia and Andaryon. A fragile peace reigns as both sides recover from the events of the previous year. Then mysterious raiders strike Andaryon villages.
Attempts are made on the life of Albia’s High King. As Sullyan scrambles to find those responsible, unseen enemies threaten to pull apart everything she has worked for, including her marriage.
The alliance begins to crumble, and Sullyan finds herself caught between two monarchs: the king she’s sworn allegiance to, and the man she loves as a father. To betray either one would break her heart, but if conflict is inevitable, she must make a choice…
Cas lives in the lovely county of Hampshire, southern UK, where she was born. On leaving school she trained for two years before qualifying as horse-riding instructor. During this time she also learned to carriage-drive. She spent thirteen years in the British Civil Service before moving to Rome, Italy, where she and her husband, Dave, lived for three years. They enjoy returning whenever they can. Cas supports many animal charities and owns two rescue dogs. She has a large collection of cacti and loves gardening. She is also a folk singer/songwriter and is currently writing and recording nine folk-style songs to accompany each of her fantasy books. You can listen to and download all the songs from her website: www.caspeace.com
1) Anthing to do with animals, especially dogs and horses. My favorite horse breed is the Friesian, which is why I put one in my novels. I also own two rescue dogs and support many animal charities.
2) Singing, especially folk-style songs. I also sing in my local church choir.
4) Dragons and (I have to admit!) unicorns. I have collected figurines and statues of dragons and unicorns since I was small and have a vast collection, some of which live outdoors. But I don’t like “twee”, only ones that look like they could be real.
5) Reading, especially fantasy and sci-fi.
6) Country walks.
7)All wildlife, especially butterflies. I used to breed and release UK varieties, and belong to the Butterfly Conservation Society.
8) Did I mention chocolate?
9) Spending time with family members.
10) Playing my bodhran (Irish drum). I can’t read music so decided to take up drumming instead! It’s fun and very theraputic.

beautiful poetry collection that reaches deep into the soul. Though
the author’s native language is Croatian and not English, the

Secrets of Hawthorne House
Teen Paranormal Mystery
life changes forever when a family of druids moves into the
dilapidated Victorian mansion next door. The story of an unlikely
friendship, the clash of two completely different cultures, secret
magic, and a search for the lost Hawthorne treasure.
Matt Mitchell was having the worst summer imaginable. Matt’s misery
started when a drunk driver killed his mother. Then his father moved
him and his twin sister to the small town of Hawthorne in rural
Indiana, as far as his grieving father could take from the ocean that
Matt’s mother had loved. At the new high school, three bullies are
determined to make Matt miserable. And to top it off, Matt learns
that the recluse who lives in the ‘haunted house” next door is
none other than Old Lady Hawthorne, the town’s infamous witch and
murderer. Matt’s terrible summer is turning into an awful autumn
when something quite unexpected happens. Old Lady Hawthorne’s niece
and her three children arrive, and Matt meets Gerallt.
Matt and Tina Mitchell are twins who just lost their mother in an accident. Their father takes them far away from the seaside they love to the small town of Hawthorn. There they find themselves next door to the famous haunted house of the ghost of the gray lady. Matt needs some money and starts to clean the yard of the haunted house for Mrs. Hawthorn, getting to know her and her timid ways.
One day, her niece comes to live with her along with her three children. Matt becomes Geralt Hawthorne’s best friend and soon discovers that his family is not the common family he is adjusted to. Their secrets, their corky ways, no electricity, no games or computers make for an interesting friendship. Not only that, but the bullies at school are after them…they will have to pull together or be defeated.
This is a great, clean and entertaining story for middle grade and young adult kids who like mystery, treasure hunts and magic. It is nicely done by Donald Firesmith. I would keep my eyes out for the next book in this series.
