- What is your favorite color?
Blue and grey. I love the ocean and those colors remind me of it.
- Favorite holiday?
The one where I get a nap! 😉
- Most embarrassing moment?
Oh geez, let me see if I can keep this short. I worked in the kitchens of the MTC in provo during my years at BYU. One time we threw away a TON of cream of wheat into a single garbage can. When I went to take it outside, I couldn’t lift the garbage into the compactor. Well, being the strong independent woman I was, I refused to go in and ask for help. So I leaned the lip of the garbage against the compactor and then hefted it up from the bottom wheels. When I got it up, I shook it hard to release the bag of garbage. The problem? The wheels weren’t attached! So the whole garbage can slid into the compactor. As I stood there in shock, another worker, a boy, came out. Much to my embarrassment, we ended up climbing into the compactor together, slipping and sliding in all that nasty gunk (don’t even ask how it smelled!) to retrieve the can. Just as we climbed out a delivery truck arrived, allowing even more people to see my humiliation. *forehead slap* I’ll never forget that day. It’s burned into my memory with a laser!
- Dream vacation?
Ooh. I love the ocean and heat. So anywhere tropical. Hawaii has been a favorite so far, but I’m open to anywhere warm and sandy with a great pina colada!
- Something unique about you?
Hmm… I’m not a terribly interesting person, but I can say that I was an opera major at college! I studied Vocal Performance in opera/classical music for 3 years before I got married and had to leave BYU. I ended up finishing my degree online with a Creative Writing degree, which is how I ended up as an author. But I still sing on the side.
- What one food will you NOT eat?
Oysters or snails. *cue shiver* can’t do it. Nope, nope, nope.
- All-time favorite book?
Okay, that’s hard. I have favorite books in completely separate genres that I adore! But I will say that I have one book I read over and over again. It’s called “A Kiss with Scandal” and it’s by Janelle Daniels. I LOVE books full of romance and kissing, with some action on the side. And this book delivers that.
- Writing snack of choice?
I actually don’t snack while I write. But it’s not uncommon for me to treat myself to something sweet and chocolate when I’m done!
- Top hobby you do when not writing?
Back to the singing. I perform some and I dabble in arranging and writing, so that’s definitely where I head when I’m not on the computer.
- Favorite Animal?
Baby animals. Anything cute and fluffy and little. 🙂
