Great Strides
Growing Roots Book 3
Willie has finally found her father, and he’s welcomed her with open arms. Now she must forge a relationship with the man she never even knew was alive. It isn’t just him, however, Willie must also find out how she fits in with her step-mother and half-siblings. Left in Alabama with no close-in-age peers, Willie makes great strides in finding out who she is as an individual without a group of close friends to rely on.

How will Willie handle this newest experience? Will she handle it in the mature the way she has always handled change? Or will this be the point in which Willie loses herself?

Growing Roots Book 4
Living a “normal” life doesn’t always mean that things will always be good. Bad things happen to even the best of people, and this is a life lesson Willie must now learn when tragedy strikes her close-knit group of friends.

I
write historical romance fiction novels set in the 1800s forward with
a twist of suspense. All of my characters and stories that are
portrayed in my books are fictitious. I am a native of Texas, but I
have traveled through out America and beyond. As a dreamer, I love to
visit new places where I can imagine a heroine meeting a hero in a
special way. I’m an avid reader of (all sorts) and I love to
write.

I
married my high school sweat-heart and after having raised three sons
plus one daughter, our love for each other remains unshaken. Now we
enjoy our eight grandchildren. We can send them home, but we’re
always happy for their return.

Outside
of my family activities, I sing with the Silver Belles at my church
and hate to miss even one practice. The local chapter of RWA is also
at the top of my list of pleasures. It keeps me grounded with craft
and connected with other writers.

Most
of all, I enjoy going fishing with my husband. Give me a pole and
leave me alone to bask in the sun, listening to water gurgle along
the riverbanks while allowing my mind to float away to some distance
place. Ah! Perfect.

I really enjoy organizing tours and helping new authors get discovered

Saturday, September 1st, 2018
Silver Dagger Book Tours is now 2
years old this month!

Believe it or not, Silver Dagger Book
Tours was created and is mainly operated by just one person!
I used to be just an internet crawler
looking for new books and giveaways and stumbled upon book tours.
After indulging in many dozens of tours, I decided I’d like to try my
hand at blogging in my spare time (with absolutely no blogging
experience at all!) I was a book blogger for several companies (and
still am) and stuck with it for over 3 years. In that time, I learned
all the ropes and became a pretty efficient blogger, but there was
still something missing- I wanted to make my posts stand out a bit!
So, I started creating small graphics like “about the book” and
the other standard graphics that you see in all my tours nowadays and
started jazzing my posts up.
I became pregnant with my second child
in the fall of 2015 and me and my hubby decided to try to purchase
our first home finally, so I quit my waitressing job to pack up
everything for the move and never looked back!
It took several months of trying to get
the ball rolling and was quite difficult at first to get authors to
tour with me. Thus, I had an idea to let everybody pay what they can
comfortably afford instead of set rates as I thought what some other
companies charged were just outrageous!
Since then, I have done over 1000 tours
and worked with hundreds of amazing authors – many who come back
for repeat tours! I have 2-3 tours kick off every weekday with
occasional tours on the weekends and EVERY tour is required to have a
giveaway so readers can gain a little something and have fun while
they enjoy learning about new books.
I have an absolutely amazing group of
bloggers that share my tours on their sites and really couldn’t have
gotten this far without their continued support and would like to
thank each and every one of them! Ya’ll are amazing! I also have two
assistants that help me check links and keep up with blogger activity
– Janet, who’s been with me over a year, and Laurie, who is a new
addition. Ya’ll ladies are spectacular and I couldn’t do it without
you!
Absolutely everything else is
completely run solely by me though and I really enjoy organizing
tours and helping new authors get discovered. I don’t discriminate
and host ALL fictional genres in ALL age ranges as me and my bloggers
have a broad range of readers that enjoy many different genres.
After two years of astronomical tours,
I am going stronger than ever now and growing on a daily basis with
plans to continue hosting tours for many many years!
If you are an author interested in
booking a tour with me, you can see a general FAQ page and booking

A third generation local of the
historic town of Fredericksburg, TX, I was born and raised among the
rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country where the beauty of the
landscape is breathtaking and town is  famous for the Main Street historic
shopping district, the best peaches in the world, wildflowers and
wine. I really can’t imagine living anywhere else!
A country girl through and through, I
grew up hunting, fishing and digging for Indian artifacts, all the
while enjoying the many rivers and swimming holes around town. I’m a
stay at home mom with three beautiful boys, ages 9, 2, and 1 that
encompass my entire world!
A bookaholic from birth, I have always
had a deep passion for reading and spend many late nights devouring
books into the wee hours of the morning. My “real” book
collection numbers over 3000 books and take up an entire small room
in our house with custom bookshelves built by my husband that I call
my “book cave”. I’ve been building this collection since my
childhood and will keep on adding to it for the rest of my life. Of
course, I also have a similar collection of ebooks as well as I
finally went digital a few years ago.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading,
playing with my kids, doing DIY renovation projects with my husband,
cooking, and relaxing on my back porch with a good cup of coffee
while I watch the massive axis deer herd come through the yard.

Feel that dream in your gut every time you sit down to write. You got this!

Thursday, May 10th, 2018

Christine Clemetson, tell us where you were born and where do you live now.

I was born in a small beach town in New Jersey where I spent most of my time fishing, crabbing and reading books. Now, I live just a little north of where I grew up. New Jersey has the most beautiful change of seasons and I can’t be very far from the ocean!

Where do you receive your inspiration or ideas for your books?

Ideas seem to come from everywhere. Most of the time, I’ll see something and start asking the “what if” questions. Sometimes, my ideas come from dreams too! Usually when this happens, a small part of my dream will linger in the morning and eventually form into an idea.

Why did you choose to self-publish? Or go with the publisher you are with?

The Insecure Writer’s Support Group (IWSG), a fabulous group for supporting writers, was accepting entries for a new short story anthology with the premise of a ticking clock. I was so intrigued that I wrote a story called Center Lane. Through the anthology, I met the publisher Dancing Lemur Press.

How often do you write?

I work as a Technical Writer full time, so I write toward a word count goal each morning. If I don’t meet the goal, I’ll go back into the story at night to finish.  Some days the story is waiting for me and other days the muse takes longer to arrive,  and I have to work harder to get the words down!

What is the name of your book?

Tick Tock: A Stitch in Crime, which contains 11 mysteries by 11 authors. If you love mysteries, you’ll love this anthology!

What genre is it?

Mystery

Tell us about some of your future projects?

I’m plotting  a new thriller where I still need to determine the setting. I find the setting plays the same role as a character in the book, and it should reflect the story goals.  This requires a lot of planning and possibly travel – which I love!

What are some of your favorite books?

There are too many to possibly name. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Karin Slaughter, Lisa Unger and Rick Mofina.

If you could co-write a book with another author, who would it be?

I would love to co-write a book with Stephen King. I think it would be fun to plot a thriller or horror book and explore the different characters with him.

Do you have any advice for others who dream of being an author?

Keep writing and reading as much as you can. Join a writer’s group and attend workshops. Keep learning. And above all, don’t give up! Feel that dream in your gut every time you sit down to write. You got this!

Where can we find your book?
