MY REVIEW

365 Days of Writing Prompts for Romance Writers by Kim Knight is a great source of inspiration. I was able to copy selected tips from her to write great romances in any genre into my own document for fast referral. It strikes me as good advice as I have written my own romance series the same way she recommends.

The other thing I like about Kim Knight’s book is that after each day’s prompt, she left space for the readers to outline the prompt for a new story of your own making. At the end of the year you will have 365 stories to develop and publish later.

In my case, since I publish about two romances a year that would mean I have enough material for 183 years. In another case I suppose I could use some of the prompts as subplots in the same story. Either way, it’s a lot of inspiration for a writer. You may be able to forget writers’ block thanks to this book’s content.

I will say that this book is a must for romance writers everywhere. You’ll be glad you have it in your personal library.

Kim is born in 1983 and from London in the UK. She’s a mother to a beautiful little boy, and a proud award winning author (awarded Best Romance 2017 title for A Stranger In France). Kim started her journey as a traditionally published author and later dived into self-publishing also.
As a reader she’s head over heels in love with romance, historical fiction, crime fiction, African- American, suspense and thriller genre books. As a writer, Kim enjoys creating stories with a diverse and multi-cultural line up, within the romance, romantic suspense and general thriller and crime genres. When she’s not reading, or writing stories of her own her other passions include practising her French, astrology, fashion, make-up artistry, drawing, spending time at her sewing machine dressmaking, watching make -up and beauty tutorials on YouTube, letter writing and being a mum.

Medieval
Madness
Mr.
Willifred’s Great Adventures Book 1
by
Jessica Sara Campbell
Genre:
YA Fantasy, Time Travel

Traveling
through time is not for everyone, and it’s definitely not Susan and
Freddy’s idea of a fun ride. Their adventurous granddaughter Sylvia,
though, would be happy just to do something new for a change already,
anything!

Travel
back in time to medieval London with the Willifred family on a
heart-warming adventure of history, excitement, humor, and love. Meet
the real heroes of the medieval era, some who you may not have heard
about, and some you might know well! Watch history come to life in
this action-packed saga.

As
Sylvia discovers, medieval London may not be as glamorous as it
appears in the movies, and there may even be someone up to no good
behind the scenes. No one ever said old age is easy, and no one ever
said being a teen is easy. Join Freddy, Susan, and Sylvia on a
jam-packed ride of a lifetime, for they might find more than they are
expecting in their typical weekday routine this time…

Henry lost hope—until he lays eyes on his captor’s beguiling daughter

Tuesday, September 26th, 2017
RELEASING
HENRY
Sir
Arthur’s Legacy #5
by
Sarah Hegger

Genre: Historical Romance

Pub
Date: 8/29/2017

A light
in the darkness . . .

The
youngest son of Anglesea, the once idealistic Henry has survived the
Holy Pilgrimage, but lost all his deeply held beliefs in honor and
nobility. Captured in battle, he is sold as a slave into the home of
Alif Al-Rasheed, a wealthy Genovese merchant who has converted to
Islam. Bereft of faith, imprisoned in a foreign land, Henry has lost
hope in his ability to love again—until he lays eyes on his
captor’s beguiling daughter.

A
marriage of opposites . . .

To Henry,
Alya is a beacon of beauty he cannot ignore. But the heart of this
proud daughter of Cairo will not be won so easily. Divided by
religion, language, and culture, Ayla has little in common with the
disillusioned Englishman—and yet he has vowed to protect her life
in exchange for his freedom. As they embark on a perilous journey to
safety, their bond will grow—and be tested—in ways neither can
anticipate. For their greatest challenges will arise where Henry
least expects. With threats conspiring to divide them, will he find
the strength to stand by Ayla—and together will they find a common
ground on which to build a future?

Born
British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an
incurable case of wanderlust. Her match? A Canadian engineer, whose
marriage proposal she accepted six short weeks after they first met.
Together they’ve made homes in seven different cities across three
different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made
her multilingual, but the best she can manage is idiosyncratic
English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese,
even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.
Mimicking her globetrotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began
as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations,
settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the
fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a
wife and mother. She currently lives in Colorado with her teenage
daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part
footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s
restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.
