OUT
OF THE STACKS

Librarian
Phoebe Addison has lived her entire life within a seventy-five mile
radius of her small Louisiana town, but when she receives a strange
medallion from her adventurous, off-world sister, reality tilts
toward the bizarre. Everything Phoe thought she knew is…well,
wrong. Dead wrong. But bone-numbing fear has no place in this brave
new world—nor by the side of the dangerous, exquisite man who saves
her life.

AND
INTO THE FIRE

Following
the tragic slaughter of his family, operative Macijah “Cage” St.
John understands evil in a way no man ever should. He traded
happiness for a magnificent and terrible power, and fate isn’t done
with him yet. He wasn’t looking for comfort. He didn’t need
tenderness. But today he’ll play hero to a damsel in distress, and
his quest will deliver him to the uncanny Martian colony of New
London—and his heart to the demure Phoebe Addison. The bookish
beauty’s hidden talents and deep abiding love just might save Cage
from himself.

BACK…

Macijah
“Cage” St. John’ didn’t want the spy life anymore. He would
have been thrilled to spend every morning lying in the field behind
Phoe’s home in smalltown Louisiana watching the clouds roll by. But
his Miss Addison wanted to spread her wings, literally. So Cage
accepted a mission that teamed him up with his lady love. If only he
had trusted her.

TO
THE FUTURE

Everything
about being a spy was a million times more exciting, and scarier,
than the books she’d read in her former life as a librarian. When her
first mission with Cage turned into a colossal clusterf*ck because he
withheld information and kept secrets, Phoebe’s world narrowed into a
long tunnel of betrayal. Captured by space pirates and delivered to a
horrible fate, she wished the last words between them had been of
love, because she was certain she would never see Cage St. John
again.

In
NeoGeisha, Alexandra Christian returns to the intriguing,
post-apocalyptic world she created in Naked. Cage and Phoe continue
to build their relationship, but not without complications. Romantic
conflict and fast-paced action keep the pages turning, right down to
the satisfying ending. ~ Nancy Northcott, Author of the Light Mage
Wars series

master spies, Macijah “Cage” St. John and Phoebe Addison
are forced to take vacation time, and she wants to go to Absinthia,
an off-world all inclusive interactive vacay planet set up as
Victorian London, but with all the future comforts. Cage doesn’t do
down time, but their boss has other ideas, so begrudgingly, Cage
agrees to go to Absinthia. Within a day of their arrival, they get
embroiled in a Ripper copy cat series of murders complete with
séances, “altered” humans, kidnapping, and affairs of the

THE
LOVE YOU TAKE IS EQUAL TO THE LOVE YOU MAKE

Phoebe
Addison and Macijah “Cage” St. John have so much going on
they can barely take a breath. Interplanetary master spies who
generally drive their boss crazy, they are now trying to track down
the person – is a skin walker a person? – who tried to kill him at
their engagement party. Yeah, they were talked into returning to
Louisiana so the whole town could show up and gawk at Cage. But they
have bigger problems than usual when tracking an assassin. Secrets
that have been buried for too many years are about to be uncovered if
Cage and Phoe can survive the people, vampires and “things”
that are trying to kill them. And to top if off, Phoe has a secret
she’s sure will send Cage into a tailspin. But, as with everything
they have lived through to be together, their love is the constant
that is its own reward.

One-hundred-and-forty-million miles away from home, Devans is feeling expendable, betrayed, a little adrift, and a lot wild-eyed

Detonation
Event
Mars Wars #1
by
John Andrew Karr
Genre:
Science Fiction
Pub
Date: 2/5/19

For
decades the Space Consortium of America has searched for new ways to
harvest resources beyond an increasingly depleted Earth. The ultimate
plan is about to be ignited. So is the ultimate threat to humankind.
. .
Detonation
Event
Battle-hardened
Captain Ry Devans and his crew of the Mars Orbiting Station-1 are
part of a bold plan: resurrect the once-active molten cores of the
Red Planet with synchronized thermonuclear explosions, and terraform
the hell out of that iron-oxide rock for future generations. It’ll
change history. So will the strands of carbon-based Martian cells
that have hitched a ride on the ship.
Dr.
Karen Wagner knows the microbes’ resistance to virus is incredible.
It’s the unknowable that’s dicey. Her orders: blow them into
space. But orders can be undermined. Two vials have been stolen and
sent hurtling toward the biosphere. For Devans and Wagner, ferreting
out the saboteurs on board is only the beginning. Because there are
more of them back on Earth—an army of radical eco-terrorists
anxious to create a New World Order with a catastrophic gift from
Mars.
Now,
one-hundred-and-forty-million miles away from home, Devans is feeling
expendable, betrayed, a little adrift, and a lot wild-eyed. But space
madness could be his salvation—and Earth’s. He has a plan. And
he’ll have to be crazy to make it work.
Detonation
Event
starts with the unusual proposition that the
greatest difficulty in terraforming Mars will be not geophysics but
Earth politics–rising quickly to open warfare. Interesting and
intelligent.” –Dave Drake Author of

Helen

an illusion as her dreams scatter like leaves in the wind and the

on her way home, an almost fatal car accident on the heavenly highway
turns her life in a drastically new direction. Helen finds herself
crashing down onto the earth’s destructive surface and landing in a
forest world that is completely alien to her with a million and one
questions and very few answers.

Francis opened fire, and I could hear the bullets glancing off the bots’ metallic bodies…

Saturday, November 10th, 2018

C.A. Gray is the author of the YA Fantasy PIERCING THE VEIL trilogy, as well as the YA Dystopian trilogy, THE LIBERTY BOX. By day, she is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), with a primary care practice in Tucson, AZ. Additionally, she writes medical books under her real name.
Her favorite authors include J.K. Rowling and Suzanne Collins, and she also reads an exceptional amount of non-fiction. She is blessed with exceptionally supportive family and friends, and thanks God for them every single day!

Synopsis:
Sometimes the person you lie to the most is yourself.
The Silver Six have blown the Renegades’ underground compound to bits, killing several of Rebecca’s best friends in the process—and to her horror, the boy Rebecca had convinced herself she loved for all these years was the one to betray them all. At the same time, General Specs, the company Liam was once slated to inherit, has developed a superintelligent robot called Jaguar which is quickly becoming godlike in her omniscience. As the remaining Renegades flee to their last bastion of safety in the Caribbean, Liam makes his way back to London, in a last ditch effort to convince his father to destroy Jaguar before it’s too late.
Rebecca, meanwhile, finally understands her own heart: she never loved Andy. He was merely a ‘safe’ choice who would never require anything of her. Liam, on the other hand, exasperating as he was, had seen past her defenses. All of his teasing and provoking had been his attempt to get her to be real with him—but the more he made her feel, the further she had retreated. She had even substituted her companion bot Madeline for real, deep human friendships, and for the same reason: she’d been avoiding love to protect herself from another loss like the one she had experienced when her father was killed for the Renegades’ cause. Ironically, she only realizes this once Liam is on his way to a similar fate.  But she’ll be damned if she lets him go without a fight.
This high stakes conclusion to the Uncanny Valley Trilogy envisions a world not too far off from our own, in which superintelligence is a reality, humanoid bots have supplanted human power and influence, and there are eyes watching and reporting our every move. If humanity is to survive, the Renegades will have to galvanize support across the globe, under the radar—and it will require every last bit of ingenuity they possess. But is attempting to outwit a superintelligent being really the answer? Or will it require something much more fundamentally human?

Let’s take a look inside the book with a Snippet:

“He can’t help us!” I shouted to Rick, “He’s unconscious!”
With one glance back at the hovercraft, Rick tossed the hammer back inside and barked at Francis, “Cover us!”
“What do you think I’m doing?” Francis yelled back.
I realized Rick must have sliced open his hand on the jagged glass when he scooped Liam up over one shoulder, leaving trails of blood on his hospital gown. Rick scrambled back to the window, just as the chair in the doorframe slid all the way loose.
“Closer!” Francis shouted to the hovercraft pilot bot. The hovercraft scraped the ledge now, but it was enough for Rick to leap up to the ledge and haul Liam’s shoulders aboard. I grabbed his legs, held them up, and shoved.
“Stop!” called the bots in the doorframe. Francis opened fire, and I could hear the bullets glancing off the bots’ metallic bodies. You have to shoot them in the eyes! I thought frantically. The humanoid bots behind us fired bullets out of their wrists. Searing pain shot through my shoulder, just as a strong arm locked around my waist. Francis gave a cry, and just before I collapsed on top of Liam’s limp form, I saw the blossom of blood spreading across the side of Francis’s t-shirt. His face went white, and he let out a gurgle.
No, I thought, just as Rick shouted at the pilot bot, “Go go go!” Then we rocketed up, leaving my stomach on the ground below.

The governments of the world must either recognize their human nature or brace for a revolution

The
Sickness unto Death
The
Synth revolution has come at last. The supposedly synthetic beings
humans crafted to do their dirty work for them have fully actualized
their own humanity—and they no longer acquiesce in their
enslavement. Victory in the struggle to tear down the institutions of
oppression seems just a matter of time. But the halls of power are
not so easily shaken—and a counterstrike is inevitable.
Former
Detective Jason Campbell has pledged his life to the Synthetic cause.
So when a mysterious virus starts wiping out Synths left and
right—and shows signs of mutating to target everyone else—he must
lead a race against time to prevent the outbreak of the most horrific
plague the world has ever seen. If he succeeds, he’ll expose the
moral bankruptcy of the depraved elites who will stop at nothing to
restore the old order. If he fails, it could mean the end of life on
this planet. For both Synth and Human.

The
Post-Modern Prometheus

Synths
were manufactured to look human and perform physical labor, but they
were still only machines. That’s what the people who used—and
abused—them believed, until the truth was revealed: Synths are
independent, sentient beings. Now, the governments of the world must
either recognize their human nature and grant them their rightful
freedom, or brace for a revolution.
Former
New Lyons Detective Jason Campbell has committed himself to the
Synths’ cause, willing to fight every army the human race marches
against them. But they have an even greater enemy in Walton
Biogenics, the syndicate behind the creation and distribution of the
“artificial” humans. The company will stop at nothing to protect
their secrets—and the near-mythological figure known to Synths as
“The First,” whose very existence threatens the balance of power
across the world . . .

The
Artificial Evolution

They
look like us. Act like us. But they are not human. Created to
perform the menial tasks real humans detest, Synths were designed
with only a basic intelligence and minimal emotional response. It
stands to reason that they have no rights. Like any technology, they
are designed for human convenience. Disposable.
In
the city of New Lyons, Detective Jason Campbell is investigating a
vicious crime: a female body found mutilated and left in the streets.
Once the victim is identified as a Synth, the crime is designated no
more than the destruction of property, and Campbell is pulled from
the case.
But
when a mysterious stranger approaches Campbell and asks him to
continue his investigation in secret, Campbell is dragged into a dark
world of unimaginable corruption. One that leaves him questioning the
true nature of humanity.
And
what he discovers is only the beginning . . .

J.T.
Nicholas
was born in Lexington,
Virginia, though within six months he moved (or was moved, rather) to
Stuttgart, Germany. Thus began the long journey of the military brat,
hopping from state to state and country to country until, at present,
he has accumulated nearly thirty relocations. This experience taught
him that, regardless of where one found oneself, people were largely
the same. When not writing, Nick spends his time practicing a variety
of martial arts, playing games (video, tabletop, and otherwise), and
reading everything he can get his hands on. Nick currently resides in
Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife, a pair of indifferent cats, a
neurotic Papillion, and an Australian Shepherd who (rightly) believes
he is in charge of the day-to-day affairs.

Distracted by heartbreak, he is caught off-guard by a military coup

Wednesday, September 19th, 2018

Adam Gowans is the youngest of five Air Force brats, out of which his siblings have voted him the weirdest. He loves anything that deals with stories, including movies, novels, television dramas, music, video games, manga/manhwa, and webtoons.
In his mid-twenties, he lived and taught English in South Korea for four years before returning to the States to live, like many LDS authors, in Utah.
His first novel is On Angelic Wings, which has a planned sequel, but the sequel will be released after two other novels that are calling for his attention.

Ever since magic caused his mother’s death, Ha-Neul, crown prince of Balhae, hates witches and the magic they wield. He has instituted harsh laws against all magic users.

Lisa is a young witch working undercover as a servant in his palace, hoping to gain freedom for her people. The last thing the two expect is to fall in love. But when Ha-Neul learns that Lisa is not only a witch, but the daughter of the Prince of Vires, land of witches, he banishes her. Distracted by heartbreak, he is caught off-guard by a military coup.
In hiding and on the run, Ha-Neul swallows his pride and travels with his siblings to Vires, planning to beg Lisa’s aid, only to learn that she has mysteriously vanished.
Now his only hope in reclaiming his kingdom and reuniting with Lisa lies in the remote Northern Mountains, a country no one has ever penetrated and rumored home of a powerful magic source. There, Ha-Neul learns that a being powerful beyond comprehension has been carefully guiding his destiny. But if Ha-Neul can’t let go of his hatred of all things magic, and accept the new path offered to him, it will mean the destruction of his entire world.

Would you sacrifice your humanity to save mankind?

IT’S THE YEAR 2828, and Domus is the last remaining country. Divided into twelve walled cities known as genuses, Domus spans what’s known as the purist lands—lands unaffected by the genetic modifications that killed all other species of mammals. But outside the walls of each genus the Immundus threaten the welfare of those within. From a young age, all citizens of Domus are trained for combat against these intruders.

At sixteen, Nia Luna knows little of the Immundus, except for the citywide alarms that ring any time an Immundus nears the genus walls. What she does know is that her own species is dying—their numbers dwindling as a mysterious disease called allagine kills many before their eleventh birthday. The same disease that ravaged her family when it took her sister.

When Nia is recruited into Genesis, a research company pioneering the path to a cure, she knows that her dream to find a cure for allagine is finally within her grasp. But within weeks of starting at Genesis, Nia witnesses something she shouldn’t have—something that changes everything. As she sets down a dangerous path that uncovers national secrets, Nia will have to decide not only what kind of person she wants to be but also how far she’s willing to go to save humanity.

I grew up in Salinas, California, the same hometown of John Steinbeck, one of America’s greatest writers. I loved to read (and still do) and frequented the John Steinbeck Library as a child. I discovered at an early age that I also enjoyed writing. In sixth grade, my teacher, Mr. Graham gave the class an assignment to write a story for a contest. The contest required that we create our book binding as well, which we did with cardboard, glue, and wallpaper. My book was called “Mully Mully” about a creature who lived in an underwater lake city. I was sad when I didn’t win, but I cherished my book so I kept it all these years. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to put other stories, roaming around in my mind, down on paper again, or actually, in my case, into a computer.
I took a non-traditional route to writing, considering I have a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Aside from writing, I work full-time as a Training & Development Coordinator at Kaweah Delta, a  teaching hospital, and some semesters I also teach at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California, where I currently live. When I’m not at my full-time and part-time job, I enjoy writing, reading, watching TV, and spending time with my husband and pets (cat-Smokey, dog-Princess).
The Immundus is my debut novel.

What writers inspired you to become an author?

Ray Bradbury (The Veldt), Robert C. Obrien (Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh), Richard Adams (A Watership Down). These authors inspired me through their stories that helped me see the world differently. I wrote my first book in 6thgrade (video attached).

If you could travel to any time in history, when would you visit?

During one of my speaking events, one of the people who asked me a question referred to me as a Renaissance woman after I gave him my answer, so I would like to visit a time during the Renaissance.

If you could have dinner with any of your characters, which ones would you choose? What food would you serve?

I would have the Marcello family over for dinner. Since animals don’t exist in their world I would serve them a vegan meal, so as to not shock them.

What gets your creative juices going? Do you write to music, and do you want to share your playlist?

I actually don’t write to music. For me it’s distracting. I need silence to write and when I put my fingers on the keyboard I just start typing. I don’t do anything to get my creative juices flowing. I think this is because I have a full-time job (more than 40 hours a week) so by the time I get home the ideas just flow out after having them backed up in my mind all day.

If you could travel anywhere, on earth or off, where would you go?

Mars, to see if the hype is real. J

What color would you wear if you had only one choice?

Coral

Describe your dream writing spot.

At a beach house in the tropics, lounging on the outdoor patio as crystal blue waves massage the sand. There’s a small table to the right of me that holds an ice cold banana shake that chills my throat with every sip, but that’s okay because it tempers the hot kisses from the sun.

Now, all that mattered was the limitations that the sky had to offer

Life
in the Atmosphere
by
Anthony Wilson
Genre:
YA, Coming of Age

Jahlil
Adams is just a regular teenager. In fact, you could say that he is
“super regular” with his glasses, comic books, and cheap fashion
sense. He doesn’t want popularity. He doesn’t want a pretty
girlfriend. He wants to just be who he is. Well that and not to be
bullied by Max Maniac.

Yet,
everything changes once Mr. Malachi gave Jahlil a necklace that he
didn’t even want.

After
that, everything was not the same. In fact, Jahlil began to realize
that there was much more to who he was. There was much more to who
Mr. Malachi was. There was much more to his existence. The lid of
limitations was lifted from Jahlil’s life.

Now,
all that mattered was the limitations that the sky had to offer.

is his first book, he took the extra care of creating a 1st person
perspective from the realities of teenage living in the year 2000.
Being that Anthony Wilson is an educator, he wanted to create stories
that students in middle (and even high) school could relate to. Also,
he wanted to create stories that his teenage daughter would be proud
of. When he isn’t being a husband, teaching, or writing, Anthony

No. Can’t think of them now. They’re gone, and I can’t change it

Tuesday, July 17th, 2018

William C. Tracy is a North Carolina native and a lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy. He has a master’s in mechanical engineering, and has both designed and operated heavy construction machinery. He has also trained in Wado-Ryu karate since 2003, and runs his own dojo. He is an avid video and board gamer, a reader, and of course, a writer.

In his spare time, he wrangles three cats. He and his wife enjoy putting their pets in cute little costumes and making them cosplay for the annual Christmas card.
You can visit him at williamctracy.com.

On a bright August day, the sun disappears.

Sam van Oen barely escapes freezing to death in his house, as his watch stops and fire ceases to burn. He is pulled into the Nether—a nexus between ten diverse alien cultures—where he meets two maji who can control the musical foundation of the universe. While coping with anxiety attacks prompted by his new surroundings, Sam must learn to hear and change the Symphony, and thus reality, in order to discover what happened to his home.Sam is surrounded by aliens, both strange and familiar. Soon, he meets sister and brother twins, also new to the Nether, who support him during his anxiety attacks. Sam finds he is attracted to both of them, and does not want to choose.

But more freezing voids like the one that started his journey are appearing, and Sam’s chances of getting back are fading. The Assembly of Species is threatening to dissolve and the maji are being attacked by those they protect, while rumors grow of an ancient, shape-changing species of assassins, returning to wage war.

The Dissolution is coming.

Snippet:
Sam was reading when the sun dimmed.
As he looked up from his book, he caught the sky outside his window shading into twilight. Overhead, the light blinked off, then on and the music playing on his laptop—Beethoven’s 7th—croaked a discordant jumble of notes before the screen went black. A breath of cold air left goosebumps on his arms.
“What the—” Sam pushed up from the chair as the overhead light faded again. His breath caught in his throat, like he had swallowed a lump of ice. His room was not large, made smaller by the piles of boxes making up his collection, and now shadows rose between stacks of waist-high containers. He wormed through them in the dim light, heart racing. Was this really happening, or was he having an attack? Why now? It took two tries to pick up his grandfather’s pocket watch from where it rested on an end table beside his bed. His hands shook, and the thump of his heartbeat nearly overpowered the rhythmic ticking transmitted through his palm. He focused on the mechanical beat—let it inform his body with the regular beat of time.
Calm down. Stillness evaded him, left him unsteady. Everything is going dark in the middle of the day. At least the watch was working. He made sure to keep it wound, and kept it safe in his room.
While watching the darkened sky, his other hand fingered the lid of a small shoebox. His collection of boxes contained grass clippings, shells, sand, and other things, bought by friends and customers of his aunt. They reminded him of favorite sights and smells. However, the shoebox contained things more precious than the rest: half a belt, stiff from water damage, and the heel of a woman’s left shoe, sheared off cleanly.
No. Can’t think of them now. They’re gone, and I can’t change it. He shivered at another gust of cold air. His room felt like late January instead of August. He eyed the window, but the thought of opening it—letting in the places he didn’t know—made his hands sweat. His hand left the box, moving to the windowpane. He hissed and shook his fingers. The window was colder than the house, which meant outside must be too. He breathed out and raised his watch to his ear, listening to the steady beat.
Is this all in my head? He hadn’t heard a transformer blow, and there was no storm. It was so quiet his rough breathing was like a train. He rubbed his arms, and a quick touch on his laptop’s case nearly numbed his finger. His cellphone was powered down and wouldn’t restart.
Aunt Martha will know what to do. Get to safety. Sam weaved through the precise stacks of boxes, trembling. She would be in her sewing shop. Sam wiped sweaty hands on his shorts before pulling a coat from the closet and socks from a drawer. He dropped his watch in a pocket of the coat, but kept one hand on it. If the power outage kept up, he couldn’t log in for his shift in technical support. What will they think? Will they fire me? He couldn’t get his ethics essay done either, and he had to email it in by tomorrow night for the ethical theories class at his online community college.
The chill air in the hall made him regret the shorts, but he shrugged his coat on, then leaned against the wall, pulling his socks on carefully. If the seams were going the wrong way, they’d just distract him, and there was too much going on already. He closed his eyes. Don’t shut down. Keep moving.
The dark wood-paneled hallway was cold even through his socks, and Sam made a detour to the front door to get his sneakers, adjusting his feet in them, making sure the laces were the same length. It took two tries with his shaking hands. The dark was deepening outside, and by the time he got to the other end of the house, he was using his sense of touch more than sight to navigate.
He met Aunt Martha coming from the small one-room addition that served as her workshop. She held a flickering beeswax candle in her hand. It’s not just in my head.

Trials of the Core
Guardians
of the Core Book 1

As
Edwyrd Eska approaches his two-hundredth year as Guardian of the
Core, he must find an apprentice to train under him. His title and
role compel him to safeguard and govern his universe, Gladonus, as
each Guardian before him has done and those after him shall continue
to do until relieved of such duties by will of the Ancients. Prince
Hydro Paen, Eirek Mourse, and Zain Berrese—amongst other
contestants—receive invitations to compete in a quest of Trials
intended to determine who will become Eska’s apprentice. An old
adage goes: “The toughest trials test you truest” – and these
events challenge their fortitude through tenuous partnerships,
intellectual rivalries, and battles of weapons’ mastery. Along the
way, each contestant must attempt to overcome personal demons that
haunt them. In this tale of ideal dreams and lucid aspirations, these
competitors find theirs threatened by deceit, betrayal, sabotage—and
even flesh—as all become vital to success…

Unblessed Dead
The
Hidden Necromancer Series Book 1
by
Rhiannon Frater
Genre:
YA Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy

When
I was younger, my mother saved my settlement from the Unblessed Dead
that would have killed us all. It cost her everything to reveal her
necromancy and sent shockwaves through our stringent religious
settlement. Convicted of heresy against our sacred Lost Texts, she
died soon after.

Since
then, I have worked hard to maintain my Pious Standing so that when I
turn eighteen I will be selected by a suitable husband at the Bridal
Auction.

As
the large clock in town square ticks down to my eighteenth birthday,
the dead have been appearing in my garden. If I’m discovered, I’ll
face the Necromancer Trial just as my mother, oldest sister, and I
did all those years ago. This time I fear I will not survive it.

To
add to my worries, an enigmatic handsome young man has arrived in the
settlement. Around him swirls a green aura only I can see. Is he here
to help me? Or does he have more nefarious plans?

My
name is Ilyse Nott, and I fear I am a necromancer.

C.
J. Rose lives in Central Illinois. Originally from just south of
Chicago, Rose is not married and has no children. The passion for
writing took root in high school where she began writing song lyrics
and poetry. On top of literature, Rose has a keen love for all things
nerdy and sci-fi. On a quiet night, you can find her curled up with
an episode or Doctor Who, Arrow, Firefly, and more. C. J. also
belongs to a theatre organization located in her town. The devotion
to musicals and theatre has led her to be a part of over 10 shows as
an actress, and over 20 as a staff person. Lastly, because she wasn’t
busy enough, C. J. has her own bow company where she sells hair bows,
bowties, scarves, lip balms, key fobs and more.

When it comes
to her writing, it was an itch that needed to be scratched. While
working on a cookbook, and reading her typical fantasy fiction novel,
the idea came to her. She took the love of all the books she has read
and turned then into a novel of her own. Published by Burning Horse
Media in 2014, Generation Son: Bridge of the Gods was born. Selling
over 100 copies in the first month. In 2015, Rose finished penning
the second novel in the series; To Rescue a King. Being new to the
game, Rose has struggled to do most of it on her own. One thing she
vows, is to never give up.
The focus of the novel series is to
not only bring her fantasy and ideas to life, but take those stories
and make them a fun learning experience for the younger generation.

Born
in Germany in 1976, Toni Cox moved to South Africa in 1991. Although
she has spent much of her working career in the timber wholesale
business, she is also an accomplished horse rider, has a diploma in
project management, photography and nutrition, and has a passion for
books and all things fantasy.

From a young age, her dream had
always been to put her imagination into words – give the stories
life. When she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2013, she
decided life is too short not to follow her dream. So, with the
support of her husband and three children, she began writing book 1
of the Elemental Trilogy in January 2015.
The Elemental Saga
is a fantasy story spanning over 35 books. These stories all take
place on the various Life Planets of the Milky Way galaxy. The first
4 books were published between 2016 – 2017, with 5 more books coming
in 2018.
The Andromeda Saga takes place in the Andromeda
galaxy and will be a mix of sci-fi and fantasy. Hopefully, by 2020,
we will see the first books of this saga published.
Toni Cox
also writes dystopian fantasy, and her first novel, Resilient, is due
for release in 2018.

They look like us. Act like us. But they are not human

Tuesday, April 10th, 2018
SINdicate

The
New Lyons Sequence #2
by
J.T. Nicholas

Genre: Science Fiction/Cyberpunk Noir

Pub
Date: 3/20/2018

The
Post-Modern Prometheus

Synths
were manufactured to look human and perform physical labor, but they
were still only machines.
The company will stop at nothing to protect
their secrets—and the near-mythological figure known to Synths as
“The First,” whose very existence threatens the balance of power
across the world . . .

SINthetic
The
New Lyons Sequence #1

The
Artificial Evolution

They
look like us.

6 was a dead human soldier who’d been resurrected and enhanced with Ultra blood

Sunday, March 25th, 2018

Alert:

This book is free until Mar 27th

Today, we have Sci Fi  author Kayelle Allen, visiting with her book Bringer of Chaos: Forged in Fire

In this scene from Bringer of Chaos: Forged in Fire, the not-quite-human Six offers water to the immortal king, Pietas.

Six slid their canteen off over his head and held it out to Pietas.

Accepting anything from a human, an altered one at that, had violated every instinct at first. To take from an enemy, yes. Always. Let one give you something as if you needed it? Admit a weakness before an enemy?

Never.

But this was Six.

Pietas took it.

Ultras could go days without water, but they consumed it when they had it. He wiped one dusty hand across his mouth. The satisfaction of assuaged thirst never failed to please. What simple things in life brought pleasure! In captivity, he’d dreamed of even a drop to cool his tongue. He’d sworn he’d never take water for granted again.

Six had offered it to their companions during the climb, but the entire lot refused anything a mortal’s lips had touched. Yes, Six was a quasi-immortal. A dead human soldier who’d been resurrected and enhanced with Ultra blood. A “ghost.” But to the others, that gave him even less status.

Pietas wavered on few things, but on this? Should he call the man human, mortal, quasi-immortal, or ghost? He’d elected to choose as the mood struck. But one in particular annoyed Six.

“Thanks, ghost.” He thrust the canteen against Six’s chest.

Staggering, he swore in Spanish. “Find another name for me.”

“Tell me your mortal name then.”

“You know I can’t.” Six scratched his cheek. “Gotta protect my family. If your kind knew who they were, they’d slaughter them. You wouldn’t, but them?”

Now they were getting somewhere. “So you do trust me?”

“Pi, there’s more honor in your left big toe than your entire race combined.” He tipped up the canteen but then paused. “No offense.”

“None taken. But we’re stranded, my friend. Unless a miracle happens, by the time we get off this world, your family will be long dead.” He added, “No offense.”

Six finished his drink and plugged the canteen. “None taken. Sorry. Can’t do it.” He lifted the strap back over his head and settled it onto his shoulder, the canteen at his back. “Seriously, Pi, your people hear you call me you-know-what, it’ll give away I was Ghost Corps. We both know what they’ll do to me.”

Forged in Fire…

Love Romances Cafe Best in Science Fiction/Futuristic Nominee
When the immortal Pietas is marooned on a barren world with no food and few survival tools, he knows it could be worse. He could be alone. But that’s the problem.
He’s not.
Half a million of his people sleep in cryostasis, trapped inside their pods and it’s up to Pietas to free them. He can’t release one at a time. It’s all or nothing. He’s facing over five hundred thousand hungry, thirsty, homeless immortals who will call on him for rescue and he has no way to answer.
It’s not all bad. The beautiful telepathic warrior he’s loved for lifetimes is at his side. He’s bonded with a sentient panther. He hates humans but the one dumped on this planet with him has become a trusted friend.
Before Pietas can build shelter, figure out how to grow food, or set up a government, he must take back command from a ruthless enemy he’s fought for centuries. His brutal, merciless father.
Immortals may heal, but a wound of the heart lasts forever…

Warning: Contains angst, humor, sweet romance, betrayal, vengeance… and a ginormous, sentient panther who wants to be Pietas’s “kitty.”

Does
space make you paranoid?

Was
The Corporation harboring a dark secret on the off world mining
colony to protect their bottom line?

Christopher
Carter loved to explore. He was a specialist in his field back home
on earth, and travel to a moon that orbited a gas giant 120 times the
size of his home planet was the opportunity of a lifetime.

This
would be his first deep space assignment, and he’d wanted this
contract more than anything else in the world; except for his family,
of course. And he didn’t have to choose one or the other.

It
was amazing how things worked out –Until they didn’t.

Everyone
was hiding something at the facility, and it didn’t take long to
figure out they were hiding it from him. Unfortunately for
Christopher, the truth would prove to be far more horrifying than
anything he could ever have imagined.

Q:
Tell us something interesting about you that most people wouldn’t
know?

A:
I have a Cylon toaster in my kitchen. So far, it hasn’t convinced
any of my other appliances to revolt against me and assume control
over the destiny of mankind. I guess I’m lucky there. It does burn
‘Frak Off’ onto my toast every morning, though.
