The dark secrets of the London coven are about to explode into the light of day

Thursday, July 25th, 2019
Exile
in Darkness
by
Annalisa Carr
Genre:
Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy

Heritage
and magic matter to the London covens.

Aristocratic
witch, Isabella Pethany, has heritage but not magic.

Underworld
powerbroker, amnesiac vampire Maldit, has magic but no
heritage.

Lukas
Sindis, coven sorcerer and famous psychopath, has both.

Isabella
knows her null magic status makes her an embarrassment to her family,
but since Natalie, her sister, was murdered, she is all they have
left. Guilt makes her willing to do almost anything to compensate for
her lack of value, but her grandmother’s proposal to match her with
Lukas, in an attempt to bring strong magic back to their bloodline,
is a step too far.

When
Maldit rescues a strange witch from hunting vampires, his main
concern is to limit trouble in his territory. Everyone knows witches
are troublesome, and this one is no exception. Her proximity slashes
through his damaged memory, allowing him to catch glimpses of his
forgotten past.

Drugs
have suppressed Lukas’s magic for almost twenty years, filling him
with a reservoir of trapped power. When he escapes, his magic flies
free, washing over Maldit and Isabella, and clearing away the spells
paralysing both of them.

The
dark secrets of the London coven are about to explode into the light
of day.

His eyes gleamed with a mission. He stood strong and with purpose. He appeared fearless

Tuesday, June 25th, 2019

I grew up in Southeast Missouri; home
of the Throwed Rolls, high cotton, and the St. Louis Cardinals. I have a little
family consisting of son, daughter, son-in-law and a little Pi. Other than my
children (and grandchild), my passion is writing. My current project is The
Three Crowns Series. Sweet Tea is the first book in this seven-novel series
which published October 15, 2013.
Besides reading and writing, I enjoy singing. I love music period. Music is in
our family. Whether it be the bluegrass from the Ozarks that my Grandpa Sutton
use to play on his banjo or fiddle, or the smooth, family harmony in which I am
fortunate enough to sing with my Dad and Brother. But you can give me some
kickin’ AC/DC too! I like it all!I work full-time as an Administrative Assistant. Every free moment is dedicated
to my family and my current project, The Three Crowns, a seven-novel paranormal
romance series.

It all starts with a Queen and a Plan.

The Three Crowns is a New
Adult/Paranormal Romance series. There are seven books to complete the series,
with a novella. This series has your modern day vampires dealing with the Old
World Laws creating a struggle for ultimate power in the Night World.
THE THREE CROWNS SERIES SYNOPSISThe Three Crowns series is about a normal girl whose life is more than what she
will allow herself to imagine. It is the journey of her accepting that
everything is not black and white, and our logic of what we understand does not
mean something does exist. Throughout the story she is protected, loved,
groomed and pushed to her limits to prepare her for what lies ahead of her. She
is tested in all areas of her humanity which will someday bring her to know the
person she is destined to be. The human nature of love is a tangled web of
emotions for she feels the love of two men who are continually being taken away
from her for the sake of their positions in the future as well.

“We
have to get out now!”
I could
feel the intensity of each word being yelled to me from this guy standing over
me. I didn’t know him, yet…I did. My heart was pounding. Fire was all around
us. Smoke was heavy in the air. Where was I? Throughout the large room, the
murk was cut as bodies were thrown through the air, and swords swung faster
than my eyes could follow. I heard loud gnashing and growling all around me,
and the smell of flesh burning filled my nose. There was only one place I could
possibly be. Hell.
I
looked down and took notice of my torn and blood-drenched clothes. A panic
blanketed me as my thoughts ran rapid. How could this be? Am I going to die?
What am I doing in hell?
“We
have to go now!” The guy exclaimed, grabbing my arm. His eyes gleamed with a
mission. He stood strong and with purpose. He appeared fearless. He looked to
be my age. Wait. What is my age right now? Am I seventeen? I feel like…I’ve
lived a thousand lives, yet haven’t even begun to live. I took a deep breath,
trying to focus on the moment. And if all I had was this moment, then I had to
move or be moved (or die more like it!).
I arose
to my feet, feeling very weak. I looked down to keep from stumbling, and
screamed in horror. A man’s body lay close to my feet. His head lay next to his
body. I felt tears starting to burn in my eyes from complete fear that had
taken hold of me. As I gasped in shock, I noticed a few more feet away from the
first body lay another body crumpled on the floor. Again, his head was next to
his body…and another body! Oh God! Please show me the door out of this
nightmare! I quickly turned away and tried to run. I didn’t get four feet when
I tripped. I gathered myself and tried getting up as quickly as I could. When I
looked to see what I had tripped over, I couldn’t help but scream. It was
another headless body. But this time it was a woman! As I scrambled up, I
looked over to the left of the body, and there was her head about five feet
away. My blood ran cold as chills climbed my spine. Fear had found me as
though it had been seeking me. I could almost hear the haunting echoes of his
laugh ringing in my head as he closed in on taking what little courage remained
in my possession. This fear wanted more than just my courage-he wanted my
soul. My soul he could not have! A new strength consumed me and I pushed on
through the nightmare.

new species of blood-drinkers who appeared after the Flood.

Months
before his five-hundredth birthday, Theodor De Croix, Prince of The
Old Coven, crosses paths with Vivienne. Torn between proving himself
worthy of his bloodline and centuries-old beliefs about true love, he

fate itself.
Vivienne is a human scientist turned GeM in an
accident. Body and mind forever altered, she struggles every day to
adapt to her new life. Attracted to the man who saved her, but
fearing his kind, she finds herself in more danger than ever.
Caught
up in a whirlwind of dreams and evil plots, both must confront their
own demons in order to save each other, testing the powers of fate
and love.

   Excerpt:

Ana enjoyed the calmness of the afternoon, and listened to his soothing, hypnotic voice for a while. Thoughts of a prior discussion on the vampire ceremony entered her mind, and she felt a need to understand the process better.

“What exactly do you mean bytasteyour blood?” She suddenly straightened and turned her head to stare at him.

For almost an hour Andree explained the details of the traditional vampire wedding ceremony.

“There will be two ceremonial daggers, sharp, with our names engraved on them. You will use the one—”

“Use? Are you telling me that I have to cut you in a room—an underground room—in the presence of hundreds of vampires? Are you for real? Are you—?”

Andree laughed and held her closer to him.

She could appreciate his gesture, but it didn’t help her feel better. It was bad enough she stood in that room the other night, under the scrutinizing glares. Adding blood to the equation wasn’t something to look forward to.

“You will cut your initial in the palm of my hand, here,” he explained, indicating a spot on his palm, right under his thumb. “I will do the same, and you will not feel a thing. Daniel will be right there with his spray. It will be quick and painless.”

“But what about the blood? I mean—”

“Nobody will attack you or me, guaranteed. It is part of the ceremony.”

“I’m not sure about it. You guys in general go crazy when you see or smell blood.”

“Ana, tasting my blood is a symbol. I am giving you my life, just as you will give me yours. It is what will bind us for eternity.” He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed her palm, sending tingles, as if a million tiny ants marched through her veins. “As I already told you, the ceremony is short, but every word we say, every gesture, symbolizes something.”

“Can’t we do all that without the blood part?” With the tingles melted away, and a nervous energy replacing them, she dared to gaze at him.

“We are vampires, Ana. Blood is life.”

The Rising Tide series is one of the best modern vampire stories I have ever read

Rising
Tide: Dark Innocence
The
Maura DeLuca Trilogy Book 1
by
Claudette Melanson
Genre:
YA Paranormal

Rising
Tide will sink its fangs into you, keeping you awake into the wee
hours of the night

Could
Maura’s life get any worse? …turns out it most certainly can.
Isolated
and sheltered by her lonely mother, Maura’s never been able to make
friends. She seems to drive her classmates away—except for the odd
times they pay enough attention to torture her—but she doesn’t
understand why. Maura considers herself to be a freak of nature, with
her unusually pale skin and an aversion to the sun that renders her
violently nauseous. Her belief is only worsened by the fact that
almost everyone around her keeps their distance.
Even
her own father deserted her before she was born, leaving Maura alone
with her emotionally distant mother, Caelyn. Even though Maura is
desperate for answers about her unknown parent, Caelyn remains
heartbroken and her daughter can’t bring herself to reopen her
mother’s wounds. Or is there a more sinister reason Caelyn refuses
to utter a word about her long-lost love?
When
a cruel prank nearly claims Maura’s life, one of her classmates,
Ron, rushes to her rescue. Darkly handsome & mysteriously
accepting, Ron doesn’t seem to want to stay away, but Maura is
reluctant to get too close, since her mother has announced she’s
moving the two of them to Vancouver…nearly 3,000 miles away from
their hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
If
life wasn’t already challenging enough, Maura begins to experience
bizarre, physical changes her mother seems hell bent on ignoring,
compelling Maura to fear for her own life. Vicious nightmares, blood
cravings, failing health and the heart-shattering loss of Ron—as
well as the discovery of a tangled web of her own mother’s
lies—become obstacles in Maura’s desperate quest for the
unfathomable truth she was never prepared to uncover.

Undertow:
Death’s Twilight
The
Maura DeLuca Trilogy Book 2

Maura
finally found the truth she was always seeking…or has she?

After
being left in the dark for all of her life, Maura’s father,
Maxwell, has finally returned to reveal sinister family secrets Maura
could never have dreamed possible—including his revelation that she
is one of The Born. But his daughter soon discovers both he and her
mother are keeping pieces of her reality hidden, still. As Maura
struggles to unravel the mysteries surrounding her new existence and
discover every piece of the cryptic puzzle, life appears intent on
casting stumbling blocks across her path with every step forward.

Tragedy
seems to stalk Maura, and those around her, as she stumbles along,
altering the young changeling’s family, just when they have all
come back together. The changes left in its wake could be for the
better, or may threaten their existence, entirely.

With
the arrival of Christmas comes the opportunity for Maura to draw
close to everyone she loves—and finally reunite with Ron, the man
she loves. But permanence has always eluded her, and in her current
state of flux this pattern endures, as fate seems intent on snapping
the threads that bind her to those she holds most dear. Maxwell’s
good intentions pave a road for Maura, littered with misery, while
her mother, Caelyn’s, desire to shield her family from pain may
tear her away from them, altogether. The perfect happiness in the
young vampire’s grasp is so easily swept away and dragged under,
out of reach. Can Maura erupt from the darkness and confusion to
break the surface and find the life she’s always dreamed of?

In
the midst of chaos, assistance materializes in the form of another of
her kind—ephemerally beautiful, yet explosively volatile, this new
vampire may prove capable of unlocking the puzzle-box Maxwell seems
intent on securing from her sight. Maura will discover the darkest
parts of herself in her quest to understand the being she is destined
to become. Her newfound friend has some shady intentions of his
own—such as thwarting the love that has grown between Maura and
Ron. Following in the wake of the impulsive vampire’s misguided
instruction may further pull a naive Maura down into the depths of
ultimate despair, heartbreak…and even destruction.

Riptide:
Betrayal of Blood
The
Maura DeLuca Trilogy Book 3

Maura
has never felt so alone in her life…nor has her existence ever been
so overshadowed by peril…

Not
only do both her parents—her distant but loving mother and
recently- returned father—remain absent from her life, but due to
the hideous error in judgement executed in collusion with her best
friend, Valdamir, and adoptive sister, Susie, Maura has been cut off
from the pair’s friendship and support, forbidden by both her
father and the fallout from the dire outcome to see either of them.
The heartbreak she suffers, brought on by the weight of these
estrangements, is only intensified by the continued mysterious
absence of her supernaturally-destined mate, Ron…whose
disappearance delivers grave consequences Maura would have never
dreamed possible…

Despised
by her vampire cousin, Aldiva, for reasons Maura cannot yet
comprehend, the young changeling will be forced to guard her back
with every step, as she comes to realize this member of her vampire
family would love nothing more than to bring about her demise.
Aldiva’s wrath calls forth other members from both Vancouver
covens, forcing them to rush to Maura’s aid—even though her
father, their king, has expressly forbidden the other vampires to
initiate contact with his daughter. Will her extended family on
Vancouver Island obey, abandoning Maura to her doom, or will they
instead rebel against Maxwell’s wishes in order to save her
life?

In
addition to the menace personified in her unsolicited enemy, the
unlikely vampire princess will find herself drowning as she is pulled
down into the depths of a far more devastating crisis…one which may
condemn her to a fate she considers much more undesirable than death.
But in order to tear herself free from the deadly pull which is
drawing her under, Maura must enlist the help of her preternatural
family, exposing her newfound friends to a danger none of them have
ever had the misfortune to face before. Can she be saved or will the
riptide drag Maura under…along with those she loves the most…

fail.”

Gerald soon discovers solving a murder mystery meets with a stone cold reception

Friday, November 3rd, 2017
An
Unconventional Mr. Peadlebody
by
D.L. Gardner
Genre:
Paranormal Humor

Rockford
Peadlebody dies in a train wreck while traveling with his family, (a
rather dysfunctional lot of half-blood vampires) after a flood in
Mississippi washes their home away. Once his brother Gerald, his wife
Ginger, and son Raymond reach grandpa’s estate in Ohio, they are
surprised by the news that grandaddy Benjamin Peadlebody has also
died. They are now heirs to the infamous Peadlebody manor and all its
peculiarities, including the butler, a reserved, tattooed, muscle-man
named Richard Cottlebone,

It
seems fishy to Gerald that two untimely deaths in the family happened
within a week. Yes, Rockford’s demise was of his own doing, but
Benjamin’s? Perhaps the butler, knows more than he’s letting on?

To
prove himself worthy, since he failed to live up to old Benjamin’s
standards when he was alive, Gerald goes about to unravel the thread
of Papa’s death. No help comes from Ginger. She’s too busy trying to
un-vampire herself. And Raymond is in love, but not with his
relatives. Gerald soon discovers solving a murder mystery meets with
a stone cold reception.

My review*****

The Unconventional Mr. Peadlebody by D. L. Gardner is quite an interesting tale about dysfunctional vampires. It is a great tale, with even a nicer plot that will keep you glue to it’s pages. I enjoyed the characters and their quirky personalities. It is a wholesome tale and would be enjoy by the whole family.

Raymond wants a normal life, he doesn’t want to be a half vampire and his mother is trying everything to make it happen for both of them. His grandfather is dead and so is his father. His uncle inherited the Peadlebody Mansion and, with it, the library and all his father’s diaries. Who would want those diaries and why and would they kill to obtain them? These are some of the mysteries that await readers as they peruse this tale. Nice writing of a good story and the telling.

This story is completely different than any other vampire books out there. In a sense, it is quite refreshing and fresh in that genre. The characters are well developed and fun to get to know and cheer on. All in all, a good read for a winter’s night by the fire.

With
a passion for a good wholesome story, Gardner dives into the adult
and young adult fantasy genres. She is both a best selling author and
an award winning illustrator who lives in the Pacific Northwest, USA.
Dabbling in screenwriting, she’s won screenings and a trophy for some
of her film projects.

She
loves a tale that ignites imaginations, strengthens friendships,
spurs courage and applauds honor. Though she targets her stories for
young adults, her books are enjoyed by all ages.

D.L.
Gardner is a columnist for the science fiction and fantasy
publication Amazing Stories

Everyone knows, it takes a thief to catch a thief—or to seduce one

Thursday, September 7th, 2017
THE
FORGER
Elite
Crimes Unit #2
by
Michele Hauf

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Pub
Date: 8/8/2017

Olivia
Lawson’s bosses at Scotland Yard don’t take her work very
seriously. Art and antiquities? Bor-ing! But her latest
investigation, at London’s world-renowned Tate, is turning out to
be far more explosive than anyone expected. In fact, the vandalized,
booby-trapped painting hanging on the gallery wall would have blown
her off her feet if it wasn’t for the tall, dark-haired stranger
who tackled her at the last second—a stranger as finely sculpted as
any masterpiece in the museum.
Ethan
Maxwell is working this case for the Elite Crimes Unit because it was
a choice between that and lockup. A (barely) reformed art forger,
he’s got the expertise to lead Olivia through a dangerous manhunt.
But the crime may have a more personal connection to him—and the
all-too-real feelings he’s developing toward Olivia could pull her
into the line of fire too . . .

THE
THIEF
Elite
Crimes Unit #1

The
Elite Crimes Unit works behind the scenes of Interpol—and employs
some of the world’s most talented criminal minds. Because as
everyone knows, it takes a thief to catch a thief—or to seduce one
. . .
The
old farmhouse in the French countryside is a refuge for former jewel
thief Josephine Deveraux. Admittedly, there aren’t many men in the
vicinity, but she has her cat to cuddle up with. It’s a far cry
from her former life, constantly running from the law, and she’s
enjoying her peace . . . until the intruder in the three-piece suit
tackles her. He wants her back in the game, helping with a heist—and
he’s not above making threats to get his way.
Little
does Josephine know that notorious—and notoriously charming—thief,
Xavier Lambert, is after the very same 180-carat prize she’s being
blackmailed to steal. To his chagrin, he’s doing it not as a free
agent, but as a member of the Elite Crimes Unit—the team he was
forced to join when his brilliant career came to a sudden end. And
little does Xavier know that his comeback is about to include a
stranger’s kiss, a stinging slap, and a hunt for missing
treasure—along with the infuriatingly sexy woman who’s outfoxing
him . . .

A cruel prank nearly claims her life

Thursday, June 29th, 2017

Claudette Melanson
writes dark fantasy in Kitchener, Ontario with four bun babies: Tegan, Pepper,
Butters & Beckett. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
with a BA in English, BS in English Education and an MA in Literature.
Harboring a deep admiration of vampires since the age of five left her with the desire to eventually become one, and now fuels the creation of her favorite paranormal characters. She hopes to one day work full time as an author, since there are many, many stories playing out inside her head.
In her very scant spare time, she enjoys watching Japanese Anime and reading
vampire stories…along with other genres of great fiction, as well as riding
every roller coaster she encounters in both her hometown and away at signings.
An advocate for good health and ketogenic eating, her favorite foods are
bulletproof coffee, cashew-flour crust pizza and treats made with xylitol and
almond, coconut or cashew flours.Future dreams include a cabin boasting a roaring fire, isolated inside a
snow-filled wood in the Yukon—the perfect writing spot—and the completion of
dozens of future novels and stories. A Rabbit Rescue fanatic and loving bunmom,
she also hopes to help rescues all over the world save many innocent lives.

When a cruel prank
nearly claims Maura’s life, one of her classmates, Ron, rushes to her rescue.
Darkly handsome & mysteriously accepting, Ron doesn’t seem to want to stay
away, but Maura is reluctant to get too close, since her mother has announced
she’s moving the two of them to Vancouver…nearly 3,000 miles away from their
hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

If life wasn’t already challenging enough, Maura begins to experience bizarre,
physical changes her mother seems hell bent on ignoring, compelling Maura to
fear for her own life. Vicious nightmares, blood cravings, failing health and
the heart-shattering loss of Ron—as well as the discovery of a tangled web of
her own mother’s lies—become obstacles in Maura’s desperate quest for the
unfathomable truth she was never prepared to uncover.

Snippet:
Maura being pursued in a dark alley
There weren’t any doorways in which to hide down this stretch of
alley, and I’d realized, once I’d started toward the restaurant, it was
deceptively longer than it had seemed upon first inspection. Every time I turned
around, the space behind me was empty, as it had been the last five times I’d
jerked my head around, certain I’d catch a glimpse of whomever I knew had
to be there. I was about halfway through the narrow, dark walkway now, my skin
consumed by the cold-running chill of fear.
Maybe I should call Caelyn? *No, Maura,* I stubbornly told myself,
*you’ll scare her to death. You’re probably imagining it.* I could envision the
near hysterics at the other end of the line and ruled that option out
completely. Besides, I was almost at the other end. If anything
should happen at this point, I was sure someone would hear me scream. Wow…I
really didn’t want cause to scream… I rubbed my hands over my arms in an effort
to calm, comfort and warm myself.
I tried to put myself at ease by telling myself anyone who smelled
as good as this guy could be no homeless drug addict. And if he meant me harm,
wouldn’t he have made his move before I’d gotten this close to the crowded
street? As I inched through the last quarter of the alley, I took in a deep
breath, just to catch one last whiff of whatever scent this guy was wearing. I
tried to store it in memory, so I could try to find some to give Ron—and
myself—as a Christmas present.
“You know I’m here, don’t you, Maura?”
My legs felt like cooked spaghetti, and it was all I could do to
keep from collapsing in utter fear, right there on the sidewalk. Though the
deep, male voice was smooth and beautiful…it still should not carry across the
night in the syllables that made up my name.
My brain fumbled around inside itself for a reasonable
explanation. One of the teachers must have been at the library? A far more
rational part tossed out the thought that even if one of the
teachers from my school was the mysterious, sweet-smelling man in the alley, he
had been lurking around, not allowing me to catch a glimpse of him. And I just
couldn’t propose any way that could be a good thing.
Then, my brain tossed out the oddity that this person, whoever he
might turn out to be, had stalked me, frightened me, made me doubt my own
perceptions, only to let me get so close to a place of safety? He’d cruelly let
me believe I’d soon be in a well-lit restaurant, only to take it away when I
thought I was home free. My ever-increasingly volatile temper flared white-hot,
burning away most of the fear I’d felt. I irrationally whirled to face whoever
he may be, infuriated by the twisted way he’d kept me rooted to the edge of the
darkness at the very last moment.

“Six years ago, Grey Malteer was attacked by creatures he thought couldn’t possibly
exist. They repeated a word, calling him a name he’d never heard before…Venator. Since then, his life has been a hellhole of secrecy—hiding old pain alongside strange new abilities.
Rune Jenkins has an itch, as she calls it, but it’s more than that. It’s an anger that builds up like the inside of a boiler whenever she’s around anything remotely supernatural. The pressure is growing steadily worse and she can’t understand why. All she knows is—her control is slipping.
By order of an unknown council Grey and Rune are pulled through a portal in the St. Louis arch, landing them in an alternate dimension where creatures of myth and legend exist. A realm that calls them, Venators.
Made up of centuries old fae, vampires, werewolves, elves and succubi the council’s
corrupt nature becomes obvious as they seek to wield the newly returned
Venators as weapons. Wedged in an impossible position, Grey and Rune must
decide their fate—do they go against the council’s wishes and help the
innocents of this unforgiving land, or face the possibility of execution by the
council.”

Snippets:
Ryker’s snoring had grown to a delightful combination of a gravel truck and a freight train. The internal resentment she always felt was growing, and the irritating sound fed
everything that bothered her—like an infection spreading from one cell to the next.
It had been building for years, but tonight it finally hit critical mass.
Rune jerked to her feet, driven by a need to do something, and moved to the window.
She loved her brother but damn it, she hated him too. What could possibly have been so horrible that it was worth sacrificing not only his life, but hers too? Surely he knew that’s
what he’d done. How could he not see that she’d given up everything because of
him?
Her life consisted of two things: chasing after Ryker to make sure he didn’t kill himself, and making sure she pulled the grades and sunk the shots to make mom proud. A Herculean
effort. And futile.
What about what she wanted? Didn’t that matter to anyone?
A sob escaped and she wrapped her arms around herself. Did she even know what she wanted? There was a time when she’d enjoyed drawing. Creating images of vampires and demons had made the itch stop after her and Ryker’s games ceased. But the pictures had turned
so dark they’d scared her mother, so Rune had let it go.
She also loved to teach and had thought about being a coach. According to her parents, “teachers didn’t make enough money,” so teaching was therefore unacceptable. Because nothing
made you so happy as a house full of expensive items you didn’t need.
Fury and resentment kindled within, directed both at her parents and her drunken fool of a brother. Past history and overflowing stores of anger provided ample amounts of dry
tinder, and her emotions rose violently, flaming to an unbearably hot inferno. She
shook with sobs that her unconscious brother wouldn’t hear. Years of
self-sacrifice ran down her cheeks in crystal streams and then…something
snapped inside.
An odd calm wrapped her in its embrace, followed by a clear knowledge of what would stop the pain. She let out a slow breath and straightened, wiping the tears from her cheeks.
She was done.

Screw Ryker. Screw her parents. They could figure out life without controlling hers.

Strange and Lovely: Ten Paranormal Tales of Thrills and Romance

Saturday, October 4th, 2014

Cynthia Jane Savage Anaya talks about the Anthology  “Strange and Lovely: Ten Paranormal Tales of Thrills and Romance.”

Cynthia how did you came up with the idea for an anthology?

Rebecca Gage was the author involved in planning this anthology and specifically seeking out the other nine authors involved. She wanted to create a fun, clean, paranormal book filled with short stories for teens and up to read and enjoy.

Great idea. How did you find all the authors for it?

Rebecca and I met at an ANWA conference last February and hit it off immediately. When she contacted me a few months ago about her project idea she asked for author suggestions. I thought (more…)

I was born in Utah and still live there. While I love to travel and experience various cultures, I also love to come home and be with friends and family.

Nice…What makes you passionate about writing?
It’s probably because I’m so passionate about reading. Books keep us company when no one else can. They’re also a window into other lives and worlds. How can I not love books and creating my own stories?

Amen to that. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Redemption by Mary Reason Theriot an Interview

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

Mary, how long have you been writing?

10402394_10202007492925029_8447286139300621626_n

I have been writing for almost 3 years. My first book was published in May of 2012. Since then I have published twenty-five books. Of that twenty-five books, two are young adult and eight are children’s books.

Very nice. Tell us where you were born and where do you live now.

I was born in St. Francisville, LA, raised in Clinton,LA and currently reside in Morgan City, LA.

How do you know the idea is good enough to write a book about it?

Once I take the outline for my book and begin writing, I truly have no idea which direction the book will go. I let the words flow onto the paper, and once I am about about halfway done, the genre comes to me.

Wow!  Who has made the greatest difference for you as a writer?

When I did decide to finally start writing, I remembered how (more…)
